1. Set Induction: (5 minutes)
- Teacher shows pictures. (Appendix 1)
- Teacher asks pupils to name the pictures (Pictures: wake up, bathe, eats
lunch, go to bed)
- Teacher asks pupils questions (different pupils)
Example: What time do you wake up this morning? When do you usually eat
lunch? What time do you go to bed?
2. Pre (15 minutes)
- Teacher pastes picture cards on the blackboard. (page 1 Textbook
English Year 3) (Appendix 2)
- Pupils arrange the pictures. (according to which activity usually
they do first, in the morning, afternoon and evening)
- Asks questions about the pictures. (What does Zarif do in the
morning? / afternoon? / evening? He wakes up. He eats lunch).
Stress on this question and sentence pattern.
- Teacher relates the pictures with pupils daily activities.
3. While (20 minutes)
- Teacher models the activities.
- Choose one pupil and take turn to ask and answer questions with
the pupil. (What do you do in the morning? What do you do in the
afternoon? What do you do in the evening?) I wake up/ I eat
lunch / I watch television.
- Pupils do the activity in groups.
- Teacher monitors.
4. Post (15 minutes)
- Teacher distributes worksheets containing three circle maps to each group.
(Appendix 3)
- Teacher explains and gives example.
- Pupils complete each circle with activities that they usually do in the
morning, afternoon and evening.
- Pupils paste their work at the wall. (Gallery Walk)
5. Closure Teacher asks pupils what sentence pattern they practice today.
