Robot Sitcom

Logline
Robots doing crazy stuff and the people who love them.

Synopsis
Zane, an up and coming Robot comedian, does his best to entertain audiences.
He's not around often, as he's usually on a comedy tour, traveling the planet.
When Zane's not around, Robot Sitcom focuses on the comedic values of day to day robot life.
Lives that would otherwise remain unseen by humans (except for those involved).

Audience
Robot Sitcom's target audience will be adult internet users eighteen to forty-nine.

Humour
Robot Sitcom will offer audiences zany and absurd situational comedy.
At times crude, cutting edge with a wit that stings, but insightful reflections on pop culture.
As well as moments of dead pan humour, satire and spoofing comparisons to human life.

Setting
Anywhere on Earth for the most part.

Format
Robot Sitcom is a one minute sitcom.
Episodes are stand-alone, for the most part, and can be played out of order and stand up to multiple
repeats across a variety of time-slots.

Writers Note
Please write for only the scenes and characters provided for this season; however, scenes or
characters that already exist can be modified and simplified for use as other scenes or characters.
Example:
You need a snow scene, but the only one you've got has a sleigh in it! Never fear!
We can remove the sleigh and change a few small elements to create a new snow scene that will suit
your episodes purpose. Final note, please keep character movements limited.

Main Characters
Zane
Zane is a 30 something professional Robot
Comedian. He is best friends with Ben.
Ben works as Zane's personal assistant when
Zane's on tour, which is almost always.
Zane is unique, in that he has a comical
perspective and that's what separates him from
the other robots in the HUH2 series. He speaks
the truth and his robot brethren pay to hear it.
Zane grew up the four hundred and thirty second
child of a production line that wanted nothing to
do with him once he was removed from it.
Different from others of his kind, from a young
age Zane often found himself on the outskirts of
robot and human society, he grew up quick-witted
and with an edgy thought process.

Ben
Ben is a 30 something professional.
He is best friends with Zane and works as Zane's
personal assistant when Zane's on tour, which is
almost always.
Ben is unique, in that he has the ability to kiss ass
in a way that separates him from the other robots
in the Z3F4 series.
Ben grew up the six thousand and thirty fifth child
of a production line that wanted nothing more
than to love him; however, that was not to be
when he was ripped from the production line by
the state, and this is how he and Zane first met.
At the robot orphanage.

Season One Episode Ideas

Episode 1
A Firefighter confronts a Scientist as to why his house is burning.
The Scientist tells him he believes his Robot may have caused the fire with a joint it had been
smoking. The Firefighter does not believe the Scientist, so the Scientist tries to assure the Firefighter
he did his best to reason with the Robot beforehand. When suddenly a burning Robot appears from
within the house. The Firefighter and Scientist stare in disbelief. The Robot screams, while questioning
humanity, before exploding into pieces.

Episode 2
A Teenage Robot sits on his bed lubing fiercely. A can of motor oil sits on the bed next to him.
A moment passes, when suddenly there's a passionate knock on his bedroom door. It's Mom!
She questions her son as to what he's doing. The Teenage Robot does his best to hide what's
happening. He finally breaks and admits to what he's doing, and his Mother, grossed out, goes away.

Episode 3
A Robot makes a phone call. He accidentally selects French as his language. Upset, he hangs up
quickly. After a quick BEAT, he picks up the phone and tries again; however, this time he gets a
message in French. Confused, he hangs up and calls back again, only to get French. Disappointed
and confused, he switches a button on the side of his head to the French setting. He calls back, this
time understanding the messages, he gets through to a real robot. When he asks why he's only able
to get a French message, he's informed that once he's made his language selection, it becomes that
for life. To which he explodes in anger.
