Starting MPDr.

Connecting to MPDr.

1. Connect MPDr. to the MPDr. connector in a cab using a USB serial cable, interlink cross cable,
or connection harness.
2. Turn on the key switch to start the engine.

Starting MPDr.

Checking a Communication Port


You need to set up a communication port when starting up MPDr. for the first time,
Make sure to check the communication port on your PC.
This operation is unnecessary when starting up MPDr. for the second time or later.
Windows 7
Right-click on [Computer] and click [Properties].

Click [Device Manager].

Check the COM number for [USB Serial Port].

Important: You need to set up the communication port when starting up MPDr. for the first time.
Before starting up MPDr., make sure to check the communication port on your PC.

Click [Yes(Y)] in the [Communication port setting] dialog.
Click [No(N)] to cancel starting up and exit from MPDr.

Select the communication port to use from the pull-down menu and click [Yes(Y)].
Click [No(N)] to cancel starting up and exit from MPDr.

The main menu screen for MPDr. is displayed.


Click [MPViewer] in the main menu to start up the drawing tool.

Starting Up MPViewer
Click MPViewer in the main menu.

MPViewer is started.

Operation data is automatically imported in MPViewer when starting


MPViewer if the data is stored in the "C:\MaintenancePro\MPDr\Data\Operation" folder.

The operation data is not automatically


imported if the data is being downloaded when
starting MPViewer. If such is the case,
use the import function.

Selecting a Model
Click a type in the [Start MPDr] column.
The pull down menu is displayed.

Click [Hydraulic Shovel (6-40t)] to display the pull down menu.


Select [ZX-5] from the pull down menu and click [Connect (C)].

Browsing Downloaded File Data


Click [Browse Saved Data] in the main menu screen.

Click [Browse Saved Data (B)] in the [Download Data] screen.

It lists operation data downloaded from the machine.

Playing a Record File


Click [Play Record File] in the main menu screen.

Select an item to play from the dialog box and click [Open (O)].

The selected data is displayed.


To complete the reproduction, click [Stop Playing (B)].

Displays the recorded date and the


length in second.
Displays the recorded data in real
time.
Displays the controller information.
Stops playing the recorded data.
Pause playing the recorded data.
Click again to restart playing.
Sets the time axis for the recorded
data.

Once the playing is hold by clicking the [HOLD (E)) button, you can change the displayed time range.

Click the section below to display the older data than the data that is currently being displayed.

Click the section below to display the newer data than the data that is currently being displayed.

Slide the bar below to change the time axis.

Obtaining a Capture
Click [Capture] in the main men screen

A screen image is obtained in the clipboard at the time when [Capture] is clicked.

Reference:Clicking [Capture] while monitoring

Once[Output to file] is checked in


[Capture Setting], the screen image is
automatically saved in the specified destination
at the time when [Capture] is clicked (refer to
"Chapter 7 Option Set Capture" for more
detailed information).

Data Download

Overview
[Operation Data Download]
You can download the daily report data, frequency distribution data, total operation time, and warning
and failure history in the information controller to MPDr.
[Snapshot Data Download (Hitachi)]
You can download data around the time of a body-related failure in the information controller to MPDr.

The download items displayed on the download screen may be different depending on the model to
which MPDr. is connected.

Overview
You can troubleshoot controllers and display the result.
The controller names displayed on the boxes on the [Troubleshooting] screen may be different depending
on the model to which MPDr. is connected.

Click [Troubleshooting] in the main menu screen.

Click [[F1] Start].

For each controller, it displays [** troubles exist] or [No failure] if there is a problem or
no problem, respectively.
Click each controller to check its fault code and fault information.

Select the desired monitoring item and click [Add] to add the item in the [Monitoring Items] section.
To start monitoring the item, click [[F1] Start]. Up to 8 items can be selected at a time.
Click [Delete] to remove the item from the section.

4 items are selected.


Click [[F4] Analog] to display a meter. Click [[F5] Digital] to display a graph. Click [[F6] Digital (Multiaxial)] to
display more than one item in a graph.
Click [[F3] Stop] to stop the monitoring and return to the monitoring item selection screen.

To start monitoring the item, select the record mode and then click [[F1] Start].
Click [[R] Record] to instruct to start and end recording the monitoring item.

Click [[F7] Start Recording] to start recording


the monitoring item.

Click [[F8] Stop Recording] to stop recording


the monitoring item.

Overview
