2. Logging on to OASIS
To receive an OASIS Password and logon for the first time, follow these steps:

Open the internet browser, and navigate to http://oasis.ausaid.gov.au .

The OASIS News page will appear.

The Logon/Register page will appear.

Click the Register New Account Button

The New User Registration page will appear

After filling out and submitting this page, you will receive a Registration
Confirmation.

An email will be sent to you containing a temporary password which you can use
to logon to OASIS. Please allow up to half an hour to receive the email.

Once you receive the email containing a temporary password, return to the
OASIS website (www.oasis.ausaid.gov.au) and select

again.

The Logon/Register page will appear.

In the Email field, enter the exact email address that you used to register.

In the Password field, enter the temporary password, then select

The Change Password page will appear.

Enter in the temporary password received by email in the Old Password field.
Create a new password and enter it in the New Password and Confirm Password
fields, then select

The OASIS Home Page will appear.

To logon to OASIS after the initial logon, follow these steps:

Open the internet browser, and navigate to http://oasis.ausaid.gov.au .

The OASIS News page will appear.

In the Email field, enter the exact email that you used to register.

In the Password field, enter the password created by following the steps provided
earlier, then select

The OASIS Home Page will appear.

Note: If you dont enter the same email address that you registered with, your
password will not work.

3. Creating a New Application


Once registered, applicants can fill in the Scholarship application form online. In addition to the application
form, users are able to upload copies of all their supporting documents.

Note: Applicants can edit an application when it has a status of draft. Once an application has been
submitted it cannot be edited. If changes are required, applicants may unsubmit their application which will
bring it back to the status of draft, before re-submitting, before the closing of the round.
To create a new OASIS Application, follow these steps:

Login to OASIS using the instructions provided above in sections 2 and 3.

Select

on the Scholarships menu

The Application List screen will appear.

Select

Please select Scheme and Intake Round to access the application form. To
continue, click Save.
Note: All applicants applying for AusAID scholarships, including those
applying for an Australian Leadership Award Scholarship (ALAS) and
Australian Development Scholarship (ADS) need to select ADS in the Scheme
field.

4. The Checklist

The Checklist allows the user to navigate within the draft application. Each section of the application must be
completed before your application can be submitted.
The check list will indicate by a that this section of the application has been completed. An will indicate
that this section is incomplete and the will indicate the section you a in the process of completing.

Note: If you have not completed all sections you will not be able to submit your application.

To access a Checklist item

Click the cursor on the hyperlinked Checklist item.

5. Completing an Application
Please note all mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk (*) and must be completed

Notes
You must be a citizen of one of the eligible participating countries. You
must be residing in your country of residence.
Entering a Passport number is not mandatory.
If your Mailing Address is the same as your residential Address tick the
box.
If you do not have a spouse, select the Not Applicable checkbox and
select next

3. Spouse Details

Select + to add a child to the list.

4. Children Details

If you do not have children, select the Not Applicable checkbox and
select next.

5. Emergency Contact Details

Provide details of a person that can be contacted in case of an


emergency. This may be a relative or a friend. Select next

Only include details of post-secondary school scholarships or


fellowships.
Select + to add a previous scholarship to the list.

6. Previous Scholarships

If the applicant has not had any previous scholarships, select the Not
Applicable checkbox and select next.

Applying for more than one scholarship does not make you ineligible to
apply for an AusAID Scholarship.

You must enter two preferences, you are encouraged to choose two
different institutions.
Select + to add a preference to the Proposed Study Program list.

8. Proposed Study Program

To enter course details enter the CRICOS code and select

will populate information regarding the selected course into OASIS.
Select the Institution from the dropdown list.

9. Qualifications

List qualifications (whether completed or not) by level of study, starting


with the highest. If you have not completed your studies please list the
completion date.

Enter English Language Details and select next


Answering these questions will assist Australian institutions to decide
whether you will require additional tuition. Select next
List any formal computer courses you have taken or select Not
Applicable

Enter details of your current employment, this may include work


experience, community work and unpaid voluntary work, along with a

Files of the following types may be uploaded:
.doc, rtf, .pdf, .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .tiff, .png, .bmp, .txt.
Please note there is a 2MB limit per document uploaded.
20. Declaration

Complete the declaration and acknowledgement and select Submit to


submit your application.

6. Submitting an Application

When all of the items on the Checklist have a tick

displayed against them, the application is ready to be

submitted.

To submit an application, follow these steps:

Login to OASIS using the instructions provided in sections 2 and 3.

Select

on the Scholarships menu

The Application List screen will appear.

Highlight the draft application in the Application list.

Click

The Checklist screen will appear.

The Declaration screen will appear. Complete the declaration and select

7. Un-submitting an Application
Changes can only be made to an application when it is in the status of draft. Once it has been submitted, it has
to be un-submitted in order to make changes.

Note: An application can only be un-submitted or re-submitted prior to the 31 May deadline.

To un-submit an application, follow these steps:

Login to OASIS using the instructions provided in section 2.

Select

on the Scholarships menu

The Application List screen will appear.

Highlight the application in the Application list.

Click

The Application Summary screen will appear.

Select

on the Application menu

The Unsubmit Application screen will appear, with a verification confirming that
the application should be unsubmitted.

The user will be returned to the Checklist screen and the Application Status of
the application will be returned to Draft,
