About the Workshop
Computa onal Fluid Dynamics [CFD] has become an integral element of engineering ac vi es in
evalua ng product / process in any Product Development Cycle. The necessity for understanding
Simula on from theory to prac cal evalua on & Implementa on has increased with rise in global
demand for delivering products with quality, accuracy and shorter lead- me.
This workshop will cover the Fundamentals aspects of Computa onal Fluid Dynamics dierent
types of numerical approaches, discre sa on techniques and along with that an introduc on to
FlowVision- advanced Russian Technology based CFD solver, used in solving complex engineering
problems with shorter me and be er accuracy.
We have invited experts from dierent industrial background to share their experience and
knowledge. The workshop aims to give par cipants hands on experience in solving various
problems under the following categories,

- Steady and transient state ow

- Moving Bodies
- VOF or Free Surface Tracking
- Conjugate Heat Transfer
- Mass Transfer
- Turbulence Modeling
- Fluid Structure Interaction
- Flow through Porous Media
- Non-Newtonian Fluids
This workshop intends to provide theore cal understanding, prac cal simula on and project
solving experience for the par cipants. Each par cipant will be provided with individual computer
and training will be based on lead and follow method, to ensure eec ve learning.
Par cipants are encouraged to send their problem / queries in advance to info@dhio.in,
facilita ng us to prepare the details and support necessary for solving it during the workshop. We
can also make arrangements for one to one interac on, with the experts from dierent elds,
during the workshop.
Cer cate of par cipa on will be provided to the par cipants at the end of the training session.
