Acet-ON
Article no.: AC000001

The Acet-ON allows the comparison of the

intensity of a sample with different specified
intensities of the reference substance acetone,
and hence, the determination of the perceived
intensity (pi).
The use of comparative sources ensures that
all panel members evaluate the perceived
intensity based on the same reference scale.
The Acet-ON is fully compliant to the
requirements of the standard ISO 1600028:2012 as well as the guideline VDI 4302
(draft). The device allows the presentation of 6
different acetone concentrations ranging from 0
pi to 15 pi, as well as 1 blank (odourless
compressed air), and makes it easier for the
panel members to assess the perceived
intensity of unknown samples.
The use of CRM gas allows traceability of the
presented concentrations, which results in a
high accuracy of acetone concentrations.
Another advantage of the Acet-ON is the use of
only one nose mask, which allows gas release
only when required meaning room air
contamination is kept to a minimum.

Pre Dilution Device EPD

Article no.: EPD10000

The EPD is an easy to use pre-dilution system

for highly-concentrated odour samples. It has
been developed to increase the measuring
range at high odorant concentrations for
olfactometers.
In addition, it protects the olfactometer from
self-contamination.
The EPD is designed for use in olfactometry
laboratories and gives the operator the
opportunity, together with a TO-series
olfactometer, to process odour samples with a
concentration of up to 6 x 106 OUE/m3 with just
one additional mixing process.
Due to the dilution, which precedes the
olfactometric measurement, virtually all known
odour emissions from environmental protection
and industrial markets can be olfactometrically
measured.

Sampling Device CSD30

Article no.: CSD10000

The CSD30 is a sampling device for collecting

air (odour) grab samples in sampling bags, with
a default sampling duration of 30 minutes.
Using the lung principle, the sample flows into
the bag through the sampling tube only, without
passing through pumps or other equipment. The
materials used for wetted parts being in
contact with the sample flow are PTFE and
stainless steel, in compliance with EN 13725.
The sample flow is regulated using a calibrated
nozzle integrated in the sampling device. Other
nozzles, flows and filling times are available
upon request. The sampling rate is independent
of the static pressure conditions at the sampling
point if the pressure difference is less than 150
mbar. The sampling flow is closed automatically
once the bag is full. Alternatively, the user can
select a shorter sampling duration using a
countdown timer. The CSD30 sampling device
operates from its integrated rechargeable
NiCd and battery does not require an AC power
connection. The CSD30 unit is robust, and is
easily operated by a technician.

Sampling Device Standard

Article no.: S0010000

The Sampling Device Standard consists of a

vacuum container, which is evacuated by a
vacuum pump. The sampling point and the
standard sampler are connected by a probe.
Due to the evacuation in the sampling device,
the sample bag, inside the device, sucks in
sample air via the probe. During this process,
none of its components come into contact with
the sample air due to the construction of the
sampling device.
The range of application of the Sampling Device
Standard is, at pressure conditions of
150
mbar, at the peak of the probe (in the air flow
cross section). The filling time of an 10 litre bag
is 30 to 60 seconds depending on the pressure
conditions. The cylinder is made of transparent
PVC in order to aid the optical check of the
filling and the condition of the probe.
The Sampling Device Standard is robust, light
and easy to use. Due to its battery-operation the
sampling pump can be used independently of
the power supply.

Ventilated Sampling Hood

For sampling on solid

or liquid surfaces

VDI 3880 and

EN 13725 compliant

Light and easy to use

High quality batteries,

for about
6 samples/charge

CSD30 mountable

The ventilated sampling hood supplements the

30-minute sampling system CSD 30 and is
primarily used for sampling non-ventilated,
odour emitting solid or liquid area sources.
When sampling liquids, floats are attached at
the sides of the hood. The system consists of a
hood, which is automatically ventilated by two
radial fans with a constant volumetric flow. The
inlet fan sucks in outside air via an
exchangeable orifice and transports the air from
the top into a corner of the hood via an active
carbon filter. From there the air is
distributed across the whole surface of the
hood, it absorbs the emitted odourants, and is
extracted to the opposite corner by the second
radial fan via another exchangeable orifice with
the same volumetric flow. The sample for
olfactometer tests (primarily using the CSD 30
sampling system) is taken from the suction
nozzles. The same volumetric flow is provided
on the inlet side and the suction side.

Non Ventilated Sampling Hood

Article no.: UBH10000

For sampling on
ventilated surfaces
e.g. biofilter

VDI 3880 and

EN 13725 compliant

Dismountable

This hood allows defined sampling on flow area

sources with very low discharge speeds (e.g.
bio filter, ventilated compost clamp).
The volume of the exhaust air flow is guided
through the hood and the chimney, and is
consolidated. A wind collar reduces the
susceptibility to side-winds at the chimney
outlet and thereby keeps the flow conditions in
the chimney constant. The sampling hood has a
base surface area of 1m2 and a chimney with a
diameter of
150 mm. Due to the surface ratio between the
hood base surface and the chimney cross
section no relevant dynamic pressure is
exerted when the hood is applied. The chimney
can be disassembled from the body of the hood
by loosening the four knurled nuts. There are
carry handles on the body of the hood, so that it
can be transported easily. As the susceptibility
of the sampling hood to side-winds is
particularly a problem at the chimney outlet, a
wind collar is used here which shields it from
the wind and thereby keeps the ow conditions
in the hood constant.

On Site Pre Dilution Device GSP

Article no.: Z0020022

Pre dilution at the

source

VDI 3880 compliant

Avoid losses due to

condensation

Incl. a Prandtl tube for

air speed monitoring

The GSP can supplement the sampling system

CSD 30 and dilutes the sample directly at the
sampling point. Here the pre-dilution can be
performed with nitrogen or synthetic air, whereby
the pre-dilution ratio is xed by the manufacturer
(standard 1:10 with individual calibration data).
The pre-dilution ratio can, however, be set to
different exhaust air conditions on request by
exchanging a sapphire screen accessible from the
outside (e.g. dilution 1:5 or 1:20).
The pre-dilution system provides the sample air
flow with a constant supply of nitrogen (N2) or
synthetic air directly into the tip of the sampling
probe. The moist-warm sample is thereby diluted
immediately at the point of extraction with dry N2
or synthetic air so that when it cools down to the
transportation and laboratory temperature no
condensation forms in the probe, in the tube or in
the sample bag. As a result, no additional heating
is necessary.
Furthermore the GSP has a built-in particle filter to
protect against contamination as well as a micro
Prandtl tube, which can be used to monitor the
process.

Minimize chances of complaints and thus improved relation with the immediate surroundings by building good
reputation and image.
Validate complaints.

Benfit from the automatic alert management in case of (future) excessive emissions.

iNose automatically imports the most current meteorological data from the database administered by the
leading MeteoGroup Europe. The most common dispersion computer model 'Plume' calculates the
dispersions. Google Maps provides maps and satellite images from various providers. The substance
properties are taken from our Odournet library of Odour Thresholds, based on extensive literature review
and on in-house odour thresholds gained from thousands of studies in all odour relevant sectors in the
past 30 years, or may be determined by our environmental consultants at your site.
With iNose, a company can obtain a clear insight into their (future) odour and gas dispersion over the
surroundings. This is made possible by the permanent connection with the most current weather
forecasts and readings.
