What we want to find??

We wish to find the price of each types of fishes per 100g.

Solution
Symbols used:
(1) Let P represents the price of 100g of Siakap,
Q represents the price of 100g of Terubuk,
and R represents the price of 100g of Pari.

(2) Linear equations:

P + Q + 3R = 18
2P + 3Q + 4R = 30
P + 5Q + 6R = 30

Situation
Khairul, Amin and Raju purchased stationeries and books from a bookshop. Khairul
bought a book, two ring files and three pen for RM 24. Amin bought two books, three
ring files and four pen for total RM40. While Raju purchased a book, five ring files
ans seven pen for RM 44.

What we want to find?

We hope to find the price of each item that they bought.
Solution
(1) Symbols used:
Let K represents the price of a book;
M represent the price of a ring file;
and N represent the price of a pen.

(2) Linear equations:

K + 2M + 3N = 24
2K + 3M + 4N = 40
K + 5M + 7N = 44

Situation

In a store, there are three boxes that contain groceries. The first box contain a
pack of sugar and a pack of rice that are all together is 56 kg. In the second
box, there are two packs of sugar and a torn pack of salt which are 32 kg.
While, in the last box there are two packs of rice and three torn packs of salt
that are 48 kg.

What we want to find?

We wish to find the actual weight of each packet of sugar, rice and salt
excluding the torn pack.

Solution

(1) Symbol used:

Let X represents 1 kg of sugar;
Y represents 1 kg of rice;
and Z represents 1 kg of salt.

(2) Linear equations:

X + Y

= 56

2X +

(-Z) = 32
2Y + (-3Z) = 48

Reflection

ZAHIDAH BINTI MD YUSSOF

I solve all the question that I get from the appendix first when I get this
assignment.

I went to the library and search the internet to find some examples for
the questions.

I also used my reference book to make me more understand about the

Matrix.

I found some difficulties while doing this assignment. As example, I did

not have much ideas while creating the problems.

I also found that it is quite difficult to match the value of the answer with
the questions.

The question that I made might be unlogical.

I also found the benefits using this method, such as it took only short
solution.

After having discussion with my partner, asking my lecturer, I manage

to solve the problem and complete the assignment.

I also found that my knowledge about matrices have some

improvement.
