Flexible Service Start Delay in Cisco

Commerce Workspace
Flexible Service Start Delay (FSSD) is an option in Cisco Commerce Workspace.
FSSD in Cisco Commerce Workspace enables eligible Cisco Services Partner
Program 1-tier partners to purchase a service at the point of product purchase and
request a delayed service activation date of up to 60 days from the product ship
date. The benefits of FSSD to partners include increased business optimization,
greater financial flexibility, and order simplicity. The end goal is higher customer
satisfaction for partners.

Increased Business Optimization

Occasionally, products are purchased before they are intended to be deployed. This
may be affected by customer budget cycles, staging activities, complex data center
build-outs, or multilocation projects. Using FSSD in Cisco Commerce Workspace,
partners can purchase a service at the point of product purchase and delay the
service activation date by up to 60 days from the product ship date. This added
flexibility allows increased lead time for product optimization in the business and
delivers greater alignment with enterprise planning timelines.

Greater Financial Flexibility

When partners request to delay their service activation date in Cisco Commerce
Workspace, they will automatically enjoy delayed service invoicing. When partners
request a delayed service activation date the service invoice date is also delayed.
Delayed service invoicing allows more flexible financial planning to align with
customers business needs.
