November 2014-May 2015 (Current), FVM 164 Digital Editing: Final Cut Pro, Final Cut
Course, Position: student. Students focus on color and editing organization in Final Cut Pro
X. Class taken at the Denver School of the Arts, Denver, Colorado.

May 2014, Letter IV, digital video, 4 minutes. Position: writer/director/camera. A movie
inspired by Rainer Maria Rilkes book, Letters To a Young Poet, where the words of Rilke
are explored visually with a simple story about two boys escaping into the Denver skyline.
Created for junior project in Video Cinema Arts, Denver School of the Arts, Denver,
Colorado.

March 2014, The World Around Me, final advanced photography project. Position:
photographer and layout design. A photography and design project compiling all of the
techniques learned in class, Advanced Photography, Denver School of the Arts, Denver,
Colorado. Winner of Outstanding Achievement in Photography from the Denver School of
the Arts.

February 2014, M.A.D.D. and State Farm National Video Contest Submission, digital video, 1
minute. Position: writer/director/editor. Two short PSA submissions created for the
M.A.D.D. and State Farm National Power of You(th) Contest. Criteria was a 15 second video
created on Instagram. Winner of Second and Third Place for the two individual
submissions, publication on their website and 250 dollar prize.

January 2014, Dog Bowl, digital video, 20 minutes. Position: Intern and Production
Assistant. Short film about a woman who steals a vest off of a service dog. Worked on
lighting, audio setup, and slated. Accepted to Sundance Film Festival January 2015.

November 2013, High Waters, digital video, 7 minutes. Position: writer/co-director. A
young adult in a period of confusion and emptiness in his life searches for new appreciation
for the things around him. Created for the silent film unit in Video Cinema Arts, Denver
School of the Arts, Denver, Colorado. Winner of a Gold Key at the Colorado Scholastic Art
and Writing Awards Competition.

August 2013, We Tried, digital video, 7 minutes. Position: co-director/collaborative effort in
all positions. A fictional narrative following a quirky character that is sure his neighbor is a
murderer. Created for the Spy genre at the Denver 48 Hour Film Project. Winner of the
Audience Award in our section; played at the Best of Colorado 48 Hour Film Project
community screening.

April 2013, McDivitt Law Firm PSA Contest Submission, digital video, 1 minute. Position: co-
writer/co-director/co-editor. A short PSA that depicts the dangers of texting while driving.
Created for the McDivitt Law Firm PSA Contest on Distracted Driving. Awarded First Place
with reward of 2,500 dollars; shown on local television.

March 2013, Midnight Blue OClock, digital video, 10 minutes. Position: director of
photography/co-director/co-editor. A detective film parodying classic aspects of film noir
with a modern twist. Created for the film noir unit in Video Cinema Arts, Denver School of
the Arts, Denver, Colorado. Winner of the Best Film Noir and Audience Choice Award at the
Denver School of the Arts Spring Film Festival.

August 2012-May 2013, Video Cinema Arts Film to Digital Conversion, Conversion of Film to
Digital. Position: supervisor of project. A yearlong project to convert, organize, and store all
student films, past DSA performances, and projects to digital.

August 2012-May 2013, Denver School of the Arts DVD Archives, Creative Work
Organization. Position: archivist. Edited and finalized DVDs created for all Denver School of
the Arts majors including theatre, dance, vocal, orchestra, and band performances
throughout the year.

November 2012, The Scream, digital video, 3 minutes. Position: director/camera op/editor.
A satirical thriller with a surprise ending. Created as part of class assignment to create a
film based on a well-known piece of art in Video Cinema Arts, Denver School of the Arts,
Denver, Colorado.

April 2012, The Loneliest, digital video, 3 minutes. Position: director of photography/editor.
A music video following a teenage boy dreaming about childhood memories of his father.
Created for the music video unit in Video Cinema Arts, Denver School of the Arts, Denver,
Colorado.

February 2012, 2040 Partners for Health: Neighborhood Health Summit, digital video, 2
minutes. Position: editor. Edited clips from the 2040 Partners for Health Summit. Created
for a short internship with 2040 Partners for Health organization supervisor.

November 2011, Jaso, digital video, 10 minutes. Position: writer/director/editor. A
documentary that follows a young adoptee from Liberia who suffered from esophageal
burns when she mistakenly drank lye instead of water. Created for the documentary unit in
Video Cinema Arts, Denver School of the Arts, Denver, Colorado. Winner of Best
Documentary at the Dominique Dunne Film Competition. Winner of Best Film of 2012 at
the Rocky Mountain Student Film Festival (shown and awarded at the Aspen Short Film
Festival). Winner of Best Documentary at the Rochester Teen Film Festival. Awarded a
Silver Key at the Colorado Scholastic Art and Writing Awards Competition. Official selection
at the Ruby Mountain Film Festival. Honorable Mention at the Heartland High School Film
Competition (Top 10.)

March 2011, The Helper, digital video, 2 minutes. Position: writer/director/co-
animator/editor. In a world empty of color and happiness, one man makes it his goal to
bring back the color by doing good deeds. Created for the claymation unit in Video Cinema
Arts, Denver School of the Arts, Denver, Colorado.

February 2011, CSAP Motivational Video, digital video, 1 minute. Position:
writer/director/animator/editor. A PSA created to motivate and educate students about

preparation for CSAP testing. Created for the Denver School of the Arts CSAP Video Contest.
Second Place in CSAP Video Contest.

November 2010, Hotdog, digital video, 1 minute. Position: writer/director/editor. Short
PSA creating a comedic visual parallel between a person on a tanning bed and a hot dog on
a grill. Created with a grant from the University of Colorado Skin Cancer Research
Department to increase youth awareness of the importance of skin protection. Winner of
the Audience Best in Show Award at the Denver School of the Arts Fall Film Festival;
shown at middle schools across Colorado.

November 2010, The Unseen Damage, digital video, 5 minutes. Position:
writer/director/editor. Documentary about a woman who survived after being diagnosed
with malignant melanoma. Created with a grant from the University of Colorado Skin
Cancer Research Department to increase youth awareness of the importance of skin
protection. Honorable Mention at the Colorado Scholastic Art and Writing Awards
Competition; shown at middle schools across Colorado.

April 2010, The Evolution of the Platypus, digital video, 3 minutes. Position: co-animator/co-
writer/editor. A short animation about the life cycle of the alien-platypus. Created for the
cell-animation unit in Video Cinema Arts, Denver School of the Arts, Denver, Colorado.
Honorable Mention at the Colorado Scholastic Art and Writing Awards Competition.

November 2009, The Crane Wife, digital video, 4 minutes. Position: co-writer/director of
photography/editor. An adaptation of the Japanese folk tale, The Crane Wife, set to music
and presented in an empty room with isolated props. Created for the folktale unit in Video
Cinema Arts, Denver School of the Arts, Denver, Colorado. Winner of a Gold Key at the
Colorado Scholastic Art and Writing Awards Competition; winner of a Silver Key at the
National Scholastic Art and Writing Awards Competition.

April 2009, Treasure Isnt All Its Cracked Up To Be, digital video, 5 minutes. Position: co-
writer/director of photography/editor. A movie about a group of elementary students who
discover a map leading to an unexpected treasure hidden within their school. Created
during a short film unit in Video Cinema Arts, Denver School of the Arts, Denver, Colorado.

February 2009, The Great Race, digital video, 2 minutes. Position:
writer/director/animator. A story about an argument that leads to a bet-fueled race.

November 2008, The Animated Boy, digital video, 3 minutes. Position: animator/editor. A
story about a real boy who gets lost in an animated world depicted through photography.
Created for the photographic story unit in Video Cinema Arts, Denver School of the Arts,
Denver, Colorado.

December 2007, The Snowy Day, digital video, 2 minutes. Position: writer/director/editor.
An adaptation on the famous childrens book by Ezra Jack Keats, The Snowy Day. Audition
piece for entry into the Denver School of the Arts. Ezra Jack Keats foundation found the
video five years later and featured it on the Ezra Jack Keats website for its 50th anniversary
