In recognition of the contribution to technical and professional education the University Grant
Commission declared SOA as a University U/S 3 of UGC Act 1956 in 2007. Ever since its inception in
1996-97 all schools, now under Siksha O Anusandhan University have shown an impressive progress
in terms of knowledge skills, human resources and material resources. The university is strategically
located in the Temple city Bhubaneswar, accessible within minutes from the Railway Station, Airport,
and State Secretariat. Each school has its own campus that blends environment friendly architecture
and greenery. All the institutions have state-of-the-art and have talented pool of faculty of more than
900 in numbers.
The schools of SOA University have evolved a learning ambience that is exible and suitable for
dissemination of knowledge in the classroom, laboratories / workshops and research in upfront areas.
The guiding principle is progressive innovation in education, administration and social responsibility.
The objective of the university is to promote professional education, research, training and
development in engineering, management, computer and medical sciences so as to cater to the need
of engineering, software and hardware, medical and managerial personnel in the country. Under the
banner of the university there are eight institutions at present.
Objective of Conference
The main objective of this conference is to provide an international forum to discuss the emerging
techniques in the area of power, energy, communication and information technology. New renewable
energy system like wind, solar photovoltaic fuel cell and storage battery technologies and their
integration to power grids pose operational challenges in terms of control, protection and reliability. A
quiet but continuous revolution in power industry tending to a number of decentralized power
production systems operating in a deregulated environment have been subject to market pressure and
trading worldwide. Interdisciplinary technologies like modern communication systems, signal and
image processing, wireless sensor networks, adaptive ltering and instrumentation, intelligent
systems, and information sciences play a great role in producing an innovative paradigm for modern
power and industrial electronic systems.
