Money-Making Story

1. Price Point
Following the consumer insight that the group has come up with, its main product will
be two huge jigsaw puzzles (see Appendix A, Figure 1 for the list of costs) measuring 2x2
m with 2,000 pieces each. These boards (See Appendix C for the pictures of the puzzles)
will be strategically displayed in two different locations where the primary and the
secondary target customers can be frequently reached out. For the booth, the group
considers two venues that would effectively tap the target market. The booth would
display the puzzle frame, the freebie box, a table, and a tarpaulin specifying our cause
and the procedures to procure our product. With that in mind, the stand will be manned
by various members of the group depending on the availability of the members.
2. How To Make Money (Costs, Sales, Profit, Volume Projection)
Consequently, the customers will pay each puzzle piece for 100 pesos. All in all,
the group needs to sell 4,000 puzzle pieces to generate net sales of 400,000php. Hence,
when all the puzzle pieces are sold, the group will earn a net income of 346,000 php.
3. Seed Money
Accordingly, the group will get its investment from two garage sales that will
occur in three selected villages of the students from SCL. Stuff that will be sold from the
garage sale will come from the donations of the UA&P population. The group will start
collecting things starting this 15th of August and will end at the 22nd of August (See
Appendix B, Figure 1 for the timetable). This money-making event is expected to
generate a minimum amount of 20,000 php. Since the marketing campaign needs a total
capital of 54,000php, this group will have to ask each student (total of 42 heads) to pay
810 php to cover all the expenses needed by this project.
By August 18, the students will start producing advertising campaigns for online and
onsite awareness of the project prior to the setup of the boards on September.
Canvassing and haggling of prices for the freebies, packaging and the puzzles will happen
from August 23-26. The group plans to order the personalized puzzles, which will be
available not later than August 27, by August 20. The students will start packing and
wrapping the freebies (See Appendix A, Figure 2 for the list of freebies) to be given away
per puzzle piece. Moreover, all the freebies will be located inside the box (Freebie Box)
where wrapped items for boys and girls will be divided from each other (See Appendix C,
Figure 1 for the design of the Freebie Box).
