Module 12. Special Provisions for Seismic Design of interior span of continues beam or girder.

Example 3. Design the interior span of a continuous girder shown. The beam carries a service dead load (including
beam weight) of 30 kN/m and a service live load of 20 kN/m. An interior beam also delivers a dead load reaction of 80
kN and a live load reaction of 60 kN at the center of the girder. Use fc = 28 MPa, fyl = 414 MPa, fyv = 276 MPa and
the ACI moment coefficients.
