Course Description
This didactic course discusses the principles and procedures of
Fixed and removable Prosthesis. It emphasizes the importance of
selection of the case by examination, evaluation, diagnosis and
treatment planning. It also explores the clinical workflow starting by
Prosthesis Design, materials and equipment used ending by preparing
the mouth for prosthesis prior to final impression. It also pays special
attention to the close relationship between Prosthetic dentistry and other
fields of dental sciences including Periodontology, Oral Medicine,
Operative Dentistry, and Endodontics.

Course General Objectives


By the end of the course the student should be able to:1) Diagnose a patient seeking prosthesis.
2) Plan a suitable treatment for each prosthetic case.
3) Formulate a suitable design for each prosthetic case.

presentations, which are designed to achieve the course objectives.
The acquired skills and knowledge during this course will prepare the
student for working on real patients and their models. The students are
