This Article on Role of Bhadhaka is continuing from Jan 2009 issue. The
Research Paper on Role of Bhadhaka Lord was submitted to KPAF
International Summit 2008 wherein all the Ascendants were taken into
consideration for Bhadhakas role in affecting the bhavas for which it is
connected.
In Third triplicity third Moveable Sign is Libra, while it is a second airy sign which is
7th in Zodiac. In this issue we are discussing about third moveable ascendant Libra
and 11th cusp lord Sun is Bhadhaka. Leo is a Fiery / fixed sign Ruler is Sun. For all
moveable signs the 11th house normally tends to Fixed sign unless there is a cuspal
interception. Fixed Sign indicates static and without any growth in that Bhava i.e.
Labhasthana which is meant for elder brother, friends, gains of all sorts, satisfaction
from all walks of life, recovery from ill-health. All these areas are retarded because

A PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION IN
KYRGYZSTAN

Short history:
A presidential election will be held in Kyrgyzstan on 23 July 2009. The date was set
after the constitutional court ruled that the extension of the presidential term from
four to five years did not apply until the next presidential election, calling for
elections by 25 October 2009; in response, a parliament committee proposed the
July election date, which was then passed by the incumbent president Kurmanbek
Bakiyev's Ak Zhol-dominated parliament. Bakiyev had previously announced his
intention to run for reelection. Bakiyev was re-nominated on 1 May 2009.
On 20 April 2009, the United Opposition announced its candidate Almazbek
Atambayev, the leader of the Social Democratic Party of Kyrgyzstan, the only
opposition party represented in parliament. Another opposition politician, former
defence minister Ismail Isakov, announced on 19 May 2009 that he would withdraw
from the race to improve Atambayev's chances, reducing the field from 18 to 17
potential candidates.
Apart from Bakiyev and Atambayev, three more candidacies have been approved:
Those of Toktaiym Umetalieva (chairwoman of the Association of Nongovernmental
and Nonprofit Organizations), physician Nazar Aliev and Tamir Sariev. One more
application has not yet been decided on.

destroys, according to the nature of the sign, the aspects and the dignity of
the planet. Mercury and Neptune depend upon the aspects received and the

When the testimony is for children and the fifth cusp is a feminine sign and its
ruler a feminine planet, most of the children will be girls. When the sign and

Masculine planets and signs, feminine planets and signs, and neutral planets
and signs, all these have to be considered. The aspects and conjunction of the
planets, the position in Navamsa, 5th house, and its lords, Jupiter and 5th from
him. 9th house and its lord all these have to be reckoned for proper judgment.
12th house, the lord, occupants in this house is to be prominently looking into.
The reason is 12th is pleasures of the bed and also it is 4th from 9th house. The
house of happiness. As such 12th along with Jupiter is to be considered. As

2 .Sputa and Saptamsa
To find out whether the married couple will have children we have to calculate Beeja
Sputa and Kshetra Sputa. From the husbands chart. Note the longitudes of Sun,
Venus and Jupiter. From Aries and add them and subtract from 360 degrees. The
resulting sign gives Beeja Sputa. Next from the wifes chart add the longitude of the
Moon, Mars and Jupiter. The result gives Kshetra Sputa.
These two sensitive points should not be associated with the 8th lord, or with
Mercury, Saturn or Kethu. There should be no malefic in the angles or trines of these
points, otherwise there will be no children, on the contrary if these points are
associated with the lords of 1, 5, 7 or 9.
Add the longitudes of the Sun, Moon, Mars, Venus and Jupiter. If the product falls in
an angle, a child is born in the 1st part of life, and if it falls in 3, 6, 9 or 12 it will be
in the later part of life.
Birth, death or absence of children has to be ascertained from the Saptamsa.
The 5th lord if it is with Venus in the ninth aspected by Neptune, this gives many
daughters. The Karaka is with Mercury aspected by Saturn and the 5th lord is
hemmed in between malefic, if it is in Mars house, which is in 12th from 5th. In this
case, 4 sons of whom one died, and five daughters.
3 .PREGNENCY
1. First month is ruled by Venus, second month is ruled by Mars, third month is
ruled by Jupiter-limbs are formed, fifth month is ruled by Moon- skin , sixth
month Saturn- allows hair to grow seventh Month Mercury- nervous
system, eighth month- lord of Adman lagna- umbilical cord takes food to the
child. Ninth month- Sun fetus feels thirst and hunger and in tenth month
Moon rules and delivery take place.

4. NUMBER AND TIME OF BIRTH OF CHILDREN.
. Number of children is to be ascertained from the 5th house and number

of planets therein. For next child 7th and next 9th and so on. In women
chart it is from 9th, 11th, 1st, 3rd, 5th, and so on
Multiply the Navamsa elapsed of the 5th in minutes by beneficial aspects
in Rupas and divide this by 200. The quotient gives the probable number
of children.
We have to note the planets in 5th or those in with lord of 5th. Note these
planets in Navamsa, whether in friends, enemy or in debilitation and also

examine the 5th house, its lord from the sign occupied by Jupiter or the
sign where sun is in Navamsa.
Convert the degrees and minutes of the 5th house into minutes and
multiply by virupas showing the benefic aspects and then divide by 200.
The quotient gives the number of children, and loss if it is malefic aspect.
Virgo ascendant Mars in the 5th though exalted death of 1st son, if it is in
first 10 degrees and next son if it in between 10-20 degrees and their
after next children.
Lord of 5th or 9th or in an even house in association with Moon or Venus
gives many daughters. But if these planets are in male Vargas or with
male planets then sons.
If 5th house or its lords in male sign or amsa, or in with male planets,
there are sons, if feminine then daughters. Further look into 5th house
from Jupiter also.
If the 5th from ascendant belongs to Moon and Venus Vargas and
associated with either of these, and 5th has no malefic. Then many
children, but if it is aspected by Saturn and Mars, there are none.
5th lord in 5th not many sons the lord of 5th in his own Navamsa, then only
one son.
Lord of 7th in 5th gives No children.
Exchange of lords of 5th and 7th, or there conjunction in 5th or 7th delays

It is my personal opinion that four fold significators which are deposited in the stars or subs of
cuspal co-rulers have a strong say in the fructification of the event. Of course we have to
arrive at the final significators after extracting each planet by sub. From table 1&2 we can say
that Mercury, Rahu, Kethu, Moon, Venus are common planets.
Mercury in the sub of Mercury hence favourable.
Moon in the sub of Sun, Sun lord of 10 in 6 in his own star. Hence Moon is considerably weak.
Venus in the sub of Sun also so venus is also weak.
Rahu in the sub of Jupiter, Jupiter lord of 2 in 4 in his own star. (no planet in 2). Hence Rahu
is fruitful,.
Ketu in the sub of Jupiter, hence favourable.
From the above we find Mercuy, Rahu, Kethu to be the fruitfull planets. The native is running

A Gateway to Astrology

Astrology is an empirical science; a predictive science where rules are based on

statistics. We agree to the fact that Astrology is widely accepted across the globe
putting across predictions on the US presidential polls to common mans marriage
muhurthas.
There are various systems of general predictions like Astrology, palmistry,
numerology, tarot reading, etc.
Astrology is rather more complex as it includes various approaches like Jaimini,
Parashar, kerala, Western, etc. Every system has its own benefits and shortcomings.
Some systems are better than the others. At some points they are far off and differ.
However, when one system is at a distance from the truth, other system touches the
reality. This is the reason why we believe in so many systems. So it is suggested
that one should adopt one system and practice more and more to bring it closer to
the line of reality.
But why then is astrology still non-scientific and superstitious?
The rules that we are using have not been checked for accuracy and relevance in
modern times. We are using them as found in old texts like Brihat Jataka,
Varahamihira, Saravali, Jadaka parijatha, etc. to name a few. However many corelating factors have been lost during the last 2000 years or more. This has put in a
large gap between the fact and the myth marking grave deviation in the application
leading this divine science to the state of superstition. Adding to these woes there
are many Godman type characters who profit out exploiting the masses, pushing
them into an unending saga of poojas and pariharams.
What exactly is our responsibility towards this science?
Astrology is the most challenging Science. It is not just books, theories, yogas and
several permutations and combination. It is indeed a biased study of astronomy,
mathematics, sociology, psychology and of course divine blessings. It rules the
metaphysical aspect of the brain. It is sheer foresight-the ability to see and pursue.
Astrologys greatness in science is that it could predict the future, the present and
tell many true experience of the past in the lives of human beings. But it has its own
limitations.
In Mahabharata, Sahadeva the youngest of the Pandav and Vidhur had a good
knowledge of astrology. Sage Varaha Mihira is supposed to be the first to render this
divine science in SUVADI form. Later, Brihat maharishi like Kalidas, Prityudas
enlighted us on this stream of Science. But somewhere, the link to these tools of
predictions is lost. It is our responsibility to find and restore it.

Human power of computation is limited. Just the nine planets and twelve signs make
so many combinations that it is difficult to co-relate them with life.
A horoscope having just nine planets is not the complete representation of what we

Eclipse' and the Moon's umbra shadow on Sun begins in India and
crosses through Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, China and
ends in the Pacific Ocean. As per traditional Hindu calendar July 22 is
an Amavasi day No moon day.
This will be a Total Solar Eclipse in some parts of India. It will be a
total solar eclipse in parts of Madhya Pradesh (Bhopal) and Bihar
(Patna) in India. The total solar eclipse will last nearly four minutes

Astrology is spreading its wings far and wide and all of a sudden we find people
taking additional interest in this science. Astrological science originated from our own
country India but could not reach the pinnacle it ought to have reached by now due
to non-availability of good written material, absence of logical derivations of the
astrological yogas and above all lack of belief & lesser interest by few of the
generations in between.
Times are changing now. A larger section of the people has renewed their belief in
this subject of science and has started looking as astrological science in a proactive
manner. The younger generation no longer makes obnoxious faces at the very
mention of the word horoscope. On the contrary they tend to get drawn towards the
scientific logics defined by this science. The names of the planets and the basic
details about them are no longer the domain of the Pundits alone. The technocrats,
students, teachers, businessmen, the affluent class and even the people belonging to
the other side of the poverty line all show interest in astrology and this is good sign
for a country which enjoys the pride of giving this subject knowledge to the people
world over.
However, this transition stage from the more non-believers to the more believers
is slow, it is taking some time. This could be due to non-availability of the basic
material for the starters. Thousands of people, particularly Indians want to
understand Astrology but are unable to find the basic material which can plant the
right seeds in their minds. We all know that if the seeds are not of good quality the
plant never converts into a tree yielding fruits and flowers. Our Astrovision

In context to this I wish to provide some fundamental knowledge to the readers who
are looking for general information to set the ball rolling as far as their own study &
knowledge of astrology is concerned. Through the small write ups produced below on
some relevant astro topics, I wish to remove some myths about astrology from the
minds of the people, make them understand what actually a horoscope is and
explain them the difference between the Indian system and the western system.
What a Horoscope actually is? :
What is a horoscope? We have been showing our horoscopes to astrologers, seeking
guidance from them when in trouble, dilemma or even when we are immensely
happy. Have we ever thought what this piece of geometrical diagram consisting of so
called 12 houses & resembling arranged triangles & rhombuss is?

Well, a horoscope is nothing but a map of the position of the stars at the time of
your birth. The first house of it represents you yourself. This house would contain
that star sign which is rising at the eastern horizon at the time of your birth. The
remaining 11 signs are arranged in sequential order, starting from that sign, in an
anti-clock-wise direction. The various planets are then placed in the various signs in
which they actually exist in transit at the time of your birth.
This makes your Janam-patri ready. But what it actually means? For understanding
this let us consider the following example;
Let us assume your birth as a temporary stopover during a journey. Say you are
stranded at a place in between Hyderabad & Mumbai during the journey. Now how
would you best describe your location geographically to people at other places? That
I am 800 kms from Mumbai,225 kms from Gulbarga, 335 kms from Sholapur, and
600 kms from Pune and so on. If someone takes an atlas he can mark your exact
position in a map.
If all these above mentioned locations (cities) are replaced by the 12 astrological
signs, a map can be prepared which would show your location with respect to the
various planets in this universe. This is what horoscope is, your geographical location
amongst the various planets, your distance from those planets & their own distances
(angular distances) with each one of them at the time of your birth.
When all these positions are drawn on a piece of paper & divided into standard
segments (12 houses each of 30 degrees), the geometrical diagram which evolves is
commonly called horoscope in English and Kundali in Indian language. It represents
your own location in the map along with the position of the planets in the entire
universe at the time of your birth.
Do Your Home work before visiting an Astrologer:

Most people believe in Astrology and follow it but unfortunately do not prepare well
before visiting an astrologer. Some basics should be understood by all people who
take interest in consulting astrologers from time to time.
The basic question here is how to prepare to question an astrologer & understand
the replies in a positive manner. Even when we fall ill and visit a medical
practitioner, we explain to the doctor the kind of feeling we are having, the specific
problems that have had at different hours of the day and most importantly what
according to our own selves is the possible cause of getting ill. We might not know
the A, B, C of medicine but we are not totally blank when we speak to a doctor while
taking medical consultations from him/her.
Similar is the case when we seek astrological guidance. No doubt, all of us want
instant solutions to our problems just like taking a prescribed doze of strong
antibiotics. But is it that simple to prescribe for a medical doctor. Doesnt he depend
upon the symptoms you describe to him? Dont you detail out to the doctor the exact
problems you are undergoing? Dont you believe in the medicines prescribed by him
and take them religiously as per his advice? Doesnt your doctor falter or change
medicines in between for the same illness?
In the same way one has to heed to an astrologer. True, an astrologer is also like a
doctor. Unless you tell him the details of your sufferings he will not be able to
analyze and put forth the right reason & the solution for it. Unfortunately there are
no pathological tests for astrology. As in the medical science that all kinds of
medicines dont suit all persons, so it is in astrology. A medicine of great utility for
you may prove to be a poison for the other person having similar medical problem.

Medical practitioners can find this out quickly in their patients and similarly good
astrologers can differentiate between different remedies for different people,
provided you deal with your astrologer in a proactive manner and are tuned up to
understand the logical reasoning given by him/her.
Consult an astrologer only when there is a specific problem which has a far reaching
effect. Go with your correct birth details including the latitude & longitude of your
birth place if it happens to be a very remote area. Be specific in your questions.
Consider the solutions in the perspective of modern society. A good astrologers
advice is always based on the Desh, Kaal & Paristhithi (condition) of the native.
What is our birth sign? :

What do we do first when the morning newspaper reaches our hands? Normally we
glimpse through the headlines and until there is some piece of news for which we
were waiting, we quickly turn over the pages to read the days prediction. Many of us
even put the headlines, gossip and the glamorous stories on the second priority and
first open the news paper from the page showing the forecasts.
We generally browse through the forecast written against our birth sign. But do we
really know which our correct birth sign is. We all know that there are 12 astro signs
and one of them is our birth sign. But which one is it? Are we selecting the correct
one out of the 12 signs or are we just going by the old information given to us.
Unless we know our correct birth sign the entire exercise of reading the forecast is a
futile exercise.
So what do we do? How do we know our correct birth sign?
Remember that the birth signs are either based on Sun or are based on Moon.
The birth signs based on Sun are according to your date of birth. This is Western
system of Astrology. For example, for all people born between 15th May & 14th June
the birth sign based on Sun would be Gemini. If you are born between 16th Jan &
14th Feb your sun based birth sign would be Aquarius. Hence if the predictions are
based on Sun, then choose your sign based on your date of birth.
What would happen if the predictions are based on Moon (Indian system, followed
mostly by Indian language news papers). Dear Readers, you would then have to find
out your Moon sign from your horoscope. For this open your horoscope, locate the
house where your Moon (Chandra) is placed. There would be number assigned to
that house, written there itself. That number represents your birth sign. For example
number 1 represents Aries (Mesh), 2 represents Taurus (Vrash), 3 represents Gemini
(Mithun), number 4 is of Cancer (Kark), 5 is of Leo (Simha), number 6 is for Virgo
(Kanya), when it is 7 it is for Libra (Tula), 8 for Vrishchik (Scorpio), 9 for Sagittarius
(Dhanu), 10 represents Capricorn (Makar), 11 means it is Aquarius sign (Kumbh
raashi) and 12 means Pieces (Meen raashi). So based on the sign in which your
Moon is located in your natal chart your birth sign would be known. This would be
your Moon sign. Therefore if you wish to read predictions based on Moon then you
would have to know that birth sign in which the moon is placed in your Janam
kundali.
There is another aspect to this issue. Many astrologers make forecast based on
ascendant. Now what is your ascendant? In Indian language it is also called Lagan.
This is the sign that occupies the first house of your horoscope (janam-kundali). It is
at the top (Kendra) and the other astro signs serially start from this house in an
anticlockwise fashion.

Therefore before you begin to read the forecast, ensure the basis on which the
forecast has been made. Is it as per the Sun sign or is it based on the Moon sign or
has it been derived based on the ascendant? Select the astro sign correctly in order
to know the right predictions.
Such information is of prime importance before we take the first step in the field of
astrology.
Why Fear if you are a Manglik? :

Astrological science is slowly penetrating the minds of the common men in India.
Earlier it was considered to be the prerogative of only the Pundits but in the
modern days one can see the Engineers, Doctors, Accountants and even the
housewives vying to get more and more information on this subject.. The wisdom
which seemed to be lost in the materialistic world thrown at us by the western
society is slowly returning back to us.
This is a very favorable and a welcome sign for us Indians. It has increased the
curiosity among all of us. But at the same time it has also lent considerable amounts
of confusions and fear in the minds of the people who have just begun their
astrological studies.
One of such common fears is the effect of being Manglik. As soon a young one
comes to know that he is manglik, he is scared about his marriage. The parents of
un-married girls repeatedly want to confirm that their daughters are not manglik.
Such are the negative vibes that are associated with one being Manglik.
The effect of this word Manglik is so deep rooted that it is no surprise that the first
question about a new born girl child is whether she is manglik or not. And if she is
told to be a manglik then this verdict of the pundit continues to cast its spell even in
deciding about the career of that girl child. How silly!
Before telling you all the truth about being Manglik, let me first inform you when a
person does becomes manglik. In your birth horoscope (Janam-kundali) if the planet
Mangal (Mars) is placed in either the 1st house or 4th or 7th or 8th or 12th then that
person is called a Manglik. These theories are also considered from the Chandra
kundali of the native (ie. by keeping Moon sign as the ascendant).
Now, just observe that out of the total 12 house of any horoscope, if Mangal
occupies any one of the above mentioned five houses, then that person is called a
Manglik person. Five out of the total 12 houses, which is 41%. In other words it
means that approximately 41 percent of the entire population of the world can be
classified as Manglik. Just imagine, if so high a percentage is associated with being
Manglik then can it be so bad, or so dreadful? No, not at all !
I would go ahead and exclaim that the Manglik persons are the special ones who
have higher capabilities depending upon in which of the five houses their Mangal
(Mars) is located. Manglik people have larger energies, more intensity, and extra fire
in them. They have nothing which is to be scared of. They must realize this and
utilize this excess energy in them for more creative jobs.
Now let us come to the common query as to why for the marriage, a Manglik person
is asked to look for a manglik match only. Marriage is a sacred association of two
persons which is very easily successful if the properties of those two persons match
with each other or if they are complimentary to each other. As I have already said
above, a Manglik person is more energized. Hence a better match for him will be a
Manglik one. But these need not the only match for him. If the planetary placements

of a Non-Manglik girl are otherwise good enough for a Manglik boy or vice versa,
they too can live happily together.
The dictum Manglik should wed a Manglik is true but not for reasons which are
commonly spread among the people in the society. It is for matching the energy
level of the couple. It is for the facts that the two utilize their equally high energy
level, their higher sexual intensity for their own pleasure or for a good creativity. A
Non-Manglik boy will not succumb to anything when he marries a Manglik girl if they
have horoscopes matched properly otherwise. So there is no need to worry, feel
terrible or be fearful to the extent people actually get in our society.
And mind you, the Manglik effect subsides with age. Sometimes the Manglik effect
of a Manglik person gets neutralized by the lower strength of his Mars (such as Mars
in Cancer sign) or peculiar placements of other planets in the horoscope (for example
Jupiter aspecting the Mars reduces the Manglik effect).
Hence we see that there is nothing to worry about being Manglik. If you are a
Manglik then stop worrying and enjoy being a Manglik.
