Today, I am going to talk about how to systematically and


systemically reduce your anxiety.
What I am going to say is profound; its not something quick fix,
although some of the ways will work really quickly if you implement
it, but this report is not written in order to give you false hope that
your anxiety will be cured next day or next week.
Its a process you must follow in order to reduce your anxiety one
step at a time.
In this modern age, as we are getting accustomed with various
technologies, tools, gadgets, services, these services has altered the
way the whole communication is carried out.
Only problem it has created is, it has made many more people
distracted, with decrease in attention span, having ADHD,
constantly needing the kick of instant gratification and lot more.
The technology has solved some problems but has created another
set of problems.
Its called Attention Deficit Disorder
We constantly need that dose of adrenaline just to get that high. We
compulsively need to check our smartphone, facebook status
updates, whatsapp message, emails and lot other things in order to
feel good.
If you see todays young generation, they are constantly distracted

with their cellphone which gives them stupid notifications every


now and then.
This is the same reason, you have become slave to your phone.
Instead of you controlling your life, these gadgets control your life.
Same thing happens on TV, newspapers. You start your day with
reading newspapers.
What newspaper feed you?
Nothing but news on some misfortune, accident, earthquake, rape,
corruption, theft, robbery, worthless gossip.
What TV feeds you?
It teaches you to waste your time on worthless gossip, conspiracies,
mindless chatter and laughter and if you watch some programs like
Crime Patrol, Big Loss( sorry Boss), Breaking News, what does it
show you? It shows you how bad the world has become?
It makes you more anxious, reactive and same time, emotional.
There are few things you should in order to reduce your anxiety.

1. Stop watching news channels and stop following


current news.
But sukrut, I need to keep myself updated. They ask questions
about it in GD, PI.
Total B.S.
What you learn from news is useless junk. Just trivia. Not useful.
It's hardly useful, unless you are quoting some figures for your GD
or PI.
You don't require loads of information for GD, what you require is
critical thinking mindset on your part.
Why you shouldnt watch or follow TV news ever?
Because you dont need this following information
1. Which girl was raped how many times and by whom?
2. How Rahul Gandhi screwed up in his speech and what he said?
3. Who was involved in 2G, 3G, 4G scam, KG basin scam?
4. Is Anushka Sharma having an Affair with Virat Kohli?
Do you think, it will help you?
Never, ever.
That's just a piece of information. They don't ask you about it in PI
and even if they ask it, that doesn't matter much as long as you are
able to answer Questions about yourself properly.
Don't waste your time in acquiring GK. You don't need to know
names of all the states, ministers and scamsters in India.

b.Read opinion based articles
c. Watch good debates sparingly (where you find sensible talk).

2. Stop reading newspapers, Don't read TOI, ET, Indian


Express or any similar newspapers (Or else I will shoot you)
It only makes you more reactive. It talks about how this whole
country is screwed up, how corruption is eating the whole system
etc etc.
There are 11 bad news for every good & sensible news you see. It
makes you more and more anxious if you start your day with
reading paper.
But Sukrut, I want to learn economic terms, they ask about it in
PI.
So what?
Do you think reading ET is making you more aware about your
country, finance & economy?
No way, a lot of people pretend to carry ET because it looks good
for their image, status. The fact of the matter is, most of them never
read it and even if they read, they don't understand the shit of it
because ET is designed to make your life difficult. Instead of that I
would encourage you to start with Mint
If you are still finding it difficult learn basic finance terms, basic
accounting terms and once you master them, then go to big terms.

I know and heard many people using these big words in GDs
because they think they can make a good impression doing that.
Dumb, Dumb.
I know many people who use words like Deficit Financing, Forex
Trading or whatever?
I know most of them are not even aware of the meaning...they are
just shallow puppets following some stupid advice and they think
they are smart asses. They are fooling themselves, maybe its you. I
dont know.
Don't read something because everybody does it, that doesn't make
it right but it reflects badly on you about how helpless and
indecisive you have become.
Read something to get thorough knowledge on the topic.

3. Uninstall Whatsapp and throw away Blackberry.


Whatsapp was acquired by facebook for billions of dollars for
sure, but their founders are not using it for chitchatting. That's the
big difference between you and them, they developed it to make you
addicted, make you slave and sold their companies for billions.
What did you get?
Nada, Zilch, Zero.
But it made you more anxious.
Same goes with Blackberry. Instant Messaging Services. It
constantly tells you about your mails, your messages. It keeps you
updated all the time but at what cost...you are constantly
distracted, replying to your BBM buddy or checking mails
constantly. Your battery is depleting at a much faster rate if you do
that.
The only problem is their owners are filthy rich and successful, you
are not.
They are using it only when they require it most.
Just like McDonald. I heard a rumour that says McDonald staff
is told that they should everything except the food at
McDonald.

4. Stop Social Media farting, delete social media apps


from your mobile, stop all the notifications.
It has become constant source of distraction, no matter what you
do, you always go and check those damn updates.
a. What your stupid friend has written?
b. Did that girl liked my comment?
c. Did I get notifications on my pseudo intelligent rant?
OH No. That girl didnt like my update, didnt reply me and only
read my message, it means she doesnt love me. What extra
(stupidity) I should do to attract her attention?
Complete waste of time.
I have unsubscribed to many people and many pages who
constantly talk about useless things I dont want to see.
It constantly nags you with its typical voice, PING. You are
working on something, reading something and you hear that stupid
sound, so you keep 10 tabs open and start chatting with 5 girls and
writing essays simultaneously.
When you are riding down that adrenaline high, you only find
yourself mentally exhausted and more reactive, anxious and your
essay is not yet complete.
Now a day, many aspirants are using fakebook(sorry facebook) as
a last resort for their MBA Prep or GD-PI Prep. They waste tons of
their time responding to stupid questions and solving others
problems.

Facebook groups is really a good platform but not for learning, only
for sharing experience and helping(not by replying to each update
though) but its not a good platform for learning any valuable skills.

5. Dont check your mails every minute and be in constant


replying mode.
I have a friend who constantly gets notifications for incoming mails,
messages and whenever we are together, his phone is constantly
vomiting notifications thats why his attention is constantly on the
phone instead of talking to me.
Now imagine, you are at a restaurant, sitting at dinner table with
a sizzling hot date, you ordered from menu, and from that point
onwards, your phone is constantly buzzing with notifications,
rings, and weird sounds.
What do you think will be your next dinner date?
You probably have to find other girlfriend or you might get a
message from her saying Hey, we are celebrating friendship
day. Why dont you come over to celebrate?
Boyfriend to just a friend.
Not good.

Checking mails every now and then is killing you. Mails are never
important. You wont get fired, get killed if you didnt check email
for 24 hours. If something is important someone might call you or
come to your home and tell you or you can take necessary steps
early on to prevent it.

6. Shoot your Idiot Box.


Watching TV is next to sitting in hell with FIRE under your ass and
you cant move it.
What TV shows you?
If you watch some typical useless serials, it teaches you about
conspiracy.
What Big Loss (sorry Boss) teaches you?
F**king nothing. It is for complete losers. I have unfriended few
people just because they were constantly talking about Big Boss.
I have big beef with these shows.
They install mind viruses; they install fear, anxiety in your mind.
Or some of you might be addicted to these Foreign TV shows.
Friends, Dexter, How I met your Mother, Big Bang Theory....
But what if my parents watch it?
Shoot them, not literally....Don't sit with them. They are ruining
your life. They are unconsciously making you more prone to failure.
Look at them.
What they have achieved?
Probably nothing.
But my father is VP at BIG Fish Corporation.
So what?
That doesnt mean he is doing the right thing.
I will show you countless people who dont watch TV at all or watch
it sparingly watching only specific shows. They are ultra successful.

You are not.


These shows make you more reactive. Not good.
Get some life. Find out whats truly missing in your life. Don't
poison yourself with this crap every day. Its a morphine which
kills you slowly.

7. Get rid of your negative friends


There people who constantly whine, bitch and complain, their job is
boring, their life is mess, they constantly project their failure upon
you, look down upon you. I call them Energy Sucking
Vampires.
When you talk to them, you feel depleted. You feel more anxious.
These people have close to zero achievement. They always play safe.
Take example my brother. Now, I certainly dont want to demean
him or his character in any way or I dont have any animosity with
my brother but whenever he is there, he tries to project his opinions
upon me, tries to pull me down, telling his story of misery and
expecting me to fail.
Avoid these people like plague, they can be in your home, it might
be your bestest friends, siblings, parents.
Either remove them from your life or do interact only when
necessary.

8. Throw your Smartphone and get basic phone.


This is a biggie, if you are a cell phone addict and constantly think
that if you miss even a single call, it is going to cost you your life.
Apart from the bad cell phone radiations, the more damage
happens with loss of productivity.
Get a basic phone. Sell your smartphone.
So if you follow these footsteps for next 3-4 weeks, you will see your
anxiety levels are going down.
But these are basic solutions.
Now you might have tried to get rid of all of these problems but
maybe you are not able to get rid of all of them because you are
working with your willpower. You havent setup a system to make
that happen on almost Autopiliot.
So your results might not be great, you are still struggling to keep
up with all these addictions which are making you more anxious
and reactive.
Even I struggle with them sometimes.

So how to make it happen?

How to create a system which wont let you fail?

There is a solution.
Instead of using willpower, create system, willpower depletes over
time, system when set will rarely fail you.
So you need systemic solution to fight these problems, to make your
anxiety go away.
