the Electrical Mechanical Structural and civil Contracting field since 2007.

Key Areas of Expertise

Planning, Investigation & Design Services
ModonGroup S.a.r.l provides specific planning, investigation and design services for a variety
of electromechanical, Hydraulic, Hydrogeology, civil and structural work. These services are
provided in the capacity of lead consultant, sub-consultant or peer reviewer for public and
private sector clients. We are able to combine our extensive experience and advanced
technical expertise supported by specialist software with a broad strategic understanding of
how the design of each project will fit into the wider natural and social environment of
affected communities. This capability and approach combine to make ModonGroup S.a.r.l a
partner of choice in the identification and development of hydropower and dams projects.

Refurbishments and Upgrades

ModonGroup S.a.r.l has worked on many refurbishments, upgrades and design improvements
of water pumping stations. Our refurbishment work has typically included: strengthening of
buildings, transformer and switchgear replacement, re-cabling, local service replacement,
automation and control upgrading, improving generator, security and fire systems. Upgrade
work is varied, depending on the requirements of the client, but generally includes civil
works, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, social and environmental monitoring,
design and preparation of tender documentation; and capacity building of staff to operate the
upgraded facilities.

Hydraulic Design
ModonGroup S.a.r.l hydraulic design employs proven theoretical techniques and a suite of inhouse and proprietary software (Pipe flow Expert, WaterCAD). If required, ModonGroup S.a.r.l
is capable of performing model tests to determine the optimum design of the hydraulic
structures.

Geotechnical Engineering
ModonGroup S.a.r.l offers a full range of geotechnical investigation and design services.
Understanding the geological and hydro- geological conditions are critical aspects of the
design and construction of any open cut, retaining wall, water wells. Our Geotechnical Engineer
Ramzi Awwad has experience in undertaking and managing site investigations and providing
subsequent geological interpretation of the subsurface conditions. Our specialists can model
and analyse the interaction between the ground and the superimposed or underground

structure. Where appropriate monitoring systems are designed and installed to monitor inservice conditions.(CCTV for Wells )

Fabrication
ModonGroup S.a.r.l specialize in steel fabricated products for industrial application with the
capacity to Process Plate work through Plasma Cutting, Fabricate, Weld, Blast and Apply
Protective Coatings. ModonGroup S.a.r.l also provide supplementary services such as
Application of Wear Liners, Automated Welding and work with various materials including Mild
Steel, Stainless Steel Odor control unit, water Hammer Surge tank, Diesel Tank, Water Reservoir,
Stainless Steel coarse screen and baskets, Sluice Valves

Construction services
ModonGroup S.a.r.l civil engineers have over 10 years of Site Construction experience, building
renovation, Steel Structures, Construction of retaining walls.
ModonGroup S.a.r.l Structural design employs proven theoretical techniques and a suite of
in-house and proprietary software (Autodesk robot 2013, Ram element connection design). If
required, ModonGroup S.a.r.l is capable of performing model tests to determine the optimum
design of the Steel Structural

ModonGroup S.a.r.l has the capability and capacity to undertake the complete detailed design
and construction drawings of the civil works including; Building construction , Steel Structural
buildings, Access Road , Water Channels, retaining walls. Our designers are familiar with most
international design standards, codes of practice and for each project will recommend the
most appropriate ones considering the country, and international best practices.

General Electrical Installations

We have three teams to accomplish electrical installations work in our projects also; We have
installation supervisor whose role is to coordinate the daily activities of this workforce. Our
supervisor is all long serving employees, our teams have experience in all facets of electrical
work in the industrial, water and wastewater, building construction, and processing plant
industries, to name but a few.
It is a strategy of the company to foster the development of our staff from the beginnings of
their apprenticeships, through their work years and into senior positions either in the field or in
the office. The payback to the company from this strategy is a loyal and dedicated workforce
with individuals who are committed to the company ethos of customer service and
professionalism.

Switchboard Design and Manufacturing

To support our many varied specialized field activities, we design our own motor control
centers, power distribution switchboards, relay panels and control cubicles in our engineering
and switchboard design departments through a team of highly experienced engineers, technical
officers and CAD operators.
We are working to hold UL certificates for our switchboards also; we prepare documents and
procedures to be the official Franchised Panel Builder for Eaton Products.

Electrical Engineering
We have on staff qualified control systems engineers/technical officers .Our past performance
working for most of the municipal councils has proven our ability to provide electrical and
control systems design, implementation and support services in a professional and timely
manner. Our business is focused on exceeding our customer's expectations for provision of
electrical engineering services and our record of accomplishment in this area is the best in the
region.

Pump Station Installations

ModonGroup S.a.r.l have a long association with the supply and installation of pumping and
associated mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment used in clear water and
effluent pumping stations and water quality control and treatment plants for government,
municipal and private clients.
Projects have been undertaken all around Lebanon both on an installation only or total turnkey
basis. We have experienced site installation personnel supported by mechanical and electrical
engineering staff and our project management team.

Project Resources
We have within our workforce, sufficient labour resources and technical ability to manage and
deliver a project of this nature. We have successfully completed design and construct projects
within the last 6 years for clients in the water & sewage, , and electricity supply industries for
both private and public sector clients. A sample of these projects is provided below and a

Because of our large base of long-term employees in key positions, we have been able to
maintain a culture of teamwork and cooperation between departments to deliver projects where
all aspects of the design are seamlessly integrated. This in turn allows us to transition to the

Robot Structural Analysis Professional software provides structural engineers with

advanced building simulation and analysis capabilities for large, complex structures.
The software offers a smooth workflow, enabling engineers to perform simulation and
analysis of a variety of structures.

RAM Elements (V8i ) provides quick, reliable tools for specific structural tasks. RAM
Elements V8i is the only structural engineering software system that offers finite
element analysis plus stand-alone or integrated design tools all in one low-cost, easyto-use package.

E-plan Electric P8: offers unlimited possibilities for project planning, documentation,
and management of automation projects.

E-plan Fluid: is an engineering tool for automatic configuration and documentation of

circuits for fluid systems in hydraulics, pneumatics, cooling and lubrication. The EPLAN
Platform connects the fluid power engineering with all other engineering disciplines so
that various engineering tasks can be executed in parallel and the entire engineering
process is accelerated.

Pipe Flow Expert : Pipe Flow Expert is our premier software application for designing and
analyzing complex pipe networks where the flows and pressures must be balanced to
solve the system.

eDesign HAP : eDesign Suite is a collection of software programs created specifically for
the HVAC system designer. These programs are tailored to increase productivity and
accuracy, improve analysis capabilities and job documentation, and add a level of

"marketability" to a designer's estimates. Individual programs are available to assist in

peak load estimating, system design, building energy modeling, lifecycle cost analysis,
and refrigerant piping design.

AutoCAD 2014

Water Cad: is a robust and comprehensive water distribution-modeling program that

can be customized with additional modeling platforms and modules as your modeling
requirements grow.
