Served in a leadership capacity and oversaw the federal and state energy initiatives, including $50
million Recovery Act (ARRA) programs, $75 million Iowa Power Fund program, Department of Energy
(DOE) and Environmental Protection Agencys (EPA) programs
Provided strategic direction and vision for energy policies and programs and presented to high-level
leaders, including the Governor and the Lt. Governor, Agency Directors, and key stakeholders
Collaborated and discussed joint energy strategies with key stakeholders such as the investor-owned and
municipal utilities, rural electric cooperatives, utility commission, environmental groups, consumer
advocates, and national groups such as the regional and national Governors Associations, Midwest
Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA), and National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO)
