Workshop Abstract:
The Workshop entitled Aircrafts and Aerodynamics, comprises of providing students with data and
knowledge for building of an small scale replica of an economical airliner. The students will learn types
of aircrafts, their design and analyze how the aerodynamic concepts can be practicalize and used for
making not only a Toy plane, but could be embedded with modern day technological appliances, E.g.:
GPS, Thermal Imaging Camera, Traffic Updates camera, Enemy Surveillance, etc.. The Workshop is
divided in two Phases:
Phase 1: A Glider
Phase 2: RC Plane
In Phase 1 the students will be divided in a team of 4 and assigned a unique design. The fabrication of
each design will be accomplished and tested by them in the duration of the workshop. The design will be
unpowered and will use only mechanical energy and its wing design for achieving desired lift.
In Phase 2 the students will form teams of 4 and this time they will be able to attach a power driven
source to the aircraft and control their time of flight and motions in the 3D space.
Schedule:
The Workshop will follow a 5-Day, Single batch Plan. In Case the number of students exceeds 75, then
the workshop is to be dividing into a batch of two.

and successfully fly a Glider in The duration of the workshop.
4. After the workshop a competition will be conducted the First and runner up team will get
a chance of making a fully functional RC plane under the guidance of the team
