this by deleting the footage files you no longer require & move the footage files
you want to keep to a sub-folder with a descriptive name under the main

If you dont do this, a large list starts accumulating and it gets harder for you and
anyone else to find the footage you have just downloaded. A good example of a

Remote Configuration
Remote Configuration allows you to configure more advanced settings than the Basic configuration allows.
Because Remote Configuration opens the web page of the actual device the appearance of Remote Configuration will differ
depending on the device you are connecting to.
When you enter Remote Configuration you are modifying settings within the actual DVR itself, some of the settings
available can affect the quality of the recording and the length of time footage can be retained. Whenever you make
changes to a device in Remote Config it is recommended that you re-boot the device after making the changes and check
the settings again to confirm they have been applied.

Software Maintenance
Backing - up a Freedom Client installation.
After you have configured or modified the devices and settings in Freedom Surveillance Client software it is recommended
that you perform a backup. You do this for the follow reasons.
1.
WHEN your computer dies your previous device configuration can be easily restored without having to manually
enter in all the details again for each device which can be time consuming.
2.
If you wish to install Freedom Surveillance on another computer, using these backed up files makes the process a lot
more efficient, so you have an identical setup on each PC.
3.
In the end if you dont backup when you should backup you will ALWAYS pay a higher price.
2.
In the Save As dialog window that opens choose the location you wish the file to be saved to.
NOTE : The location of the backup should be an external drive or stick, this way if your PC dies the file doesnt die with it.
