I have worked for and with the youth of India for last 6 years through Yuva. I have
understood the problems that exist from grass root to top level from the education of a child
to the job for youth. I have seen and understood and studied how different policies and
programs of govt impact the common man, how can it stil be improved, what are the flaws
in the implementation of the same. I have worked with lot of Govt officials such as Mun
commissioners, National advisers, policy makers, ministers, corporate honchos, media
professionals, which gave me a broader perspective of the entire political system in India.
Even being worlds largest democracy why we have not been able to increase the impact of
our policies on our GDP or standard of living of our people or what are the common
mistakes we are making are the questions which has inspired me to understand and learn
the effective policy making strategies and their successful implementation by analysing their
examples in other developing /developed countries.
This requirements is matched by MPP and MPA.

1) I started community service as my passion or hobby, but gradually developed deep
interest and understanding of the subject. First struggle of mine when I intiated
Gyanjyoti campaign in my college, which wasnt so successful in the beginning made me
understand how difficult it is to move things in Indian Bureaucracy. Once I successfully
came over initial challenges my interest grew deeper as a result of confidence and a s a
desire to explore even further

When I started interacting with more and more youth of my age or younger, from
privelged as well as less privileged background , I realised the gap that exists in the
society as a whole and its impact on the development of a nation as a whole Yet there
was a deep desire in every individual to serve the country and see it getting
prosperous.I tried ansering this question through projetcs of Yuva.
The major turning point came, when I decided to quit TCS and join the NGO I started to
take it to another level. This decision was not merely a fluke, but was a result of deep
passion and desire and was taken in full consciousness.
Once I started working full time, I realised the potential it had and the wonders it can do
with right strategy and approach. In last 2 years we started working with lot of national
big guns which gave me a national exposure and opened my eyes to different
perspectives.
Another major turn came, when I was invites by Time Group chair Indu Jain to head TF
for the Maharashtra region. It is an organisation which people would dream working
with. But it threw a big challenge in front of me. I was suddenly with the group of people
like Dilip Modi (President ASSOCHAM), Virappa Moily (MP), Indu Jain, Krishan Khanna
(Advisor to Ministry), Milind deora (MP). All of them were quite senior to me in terms of
experience, commitment and passion. But I had tremendous self-belief that I am the
chosen one for anything that falls on my path and hence I came out learning 100 times
more out of the entire experience and succeded in everything thrown to me. I was the
right hand of Times Foundation President and Vice President and played key role in
analysing, restretagizing and restructuring the entire Times Foundation operation.
Working with TF gave me insight into national working of Indian bureaucracy and the
might that media holds for the success of any project in the country.
2) While working with Yuva, while designing projects like English Unstoppable, where we
involved employees from15 top corporate houses to spend 3 months to teach English to
less privileged , VEDIC It is vocational training program of first of its kind, where 100 of
the poorest of poor but the smartest out of thousands are selected and are pursuing
further education in top private schools. The project is entirely funded by corporate
house. Microsoft digital literacy initiative with Yuva, which was started in 30 cities in
India at once. HDFC Life Financial Literacy project. Designing Save the girl child
campaign for Times.
Working for such projects gave me lot of insights in the existing polices and its workings.
Soon I realised that the empowerment of youth and next generation through education
and vocational skills is the way forward. And hence I decided I need more in depth
understanding of the successful policy making and their implementation from the best
of the best institute.
3) My dad inspired me the most by becoming the trustee of Yuva and supporting me to
follow my dreams. My Grandfather was one of the top govt official in city few years back
and I have learnt about system from him.
Academics

1) I have had enough knowledge of systems in India to take with me and build upon
it.
2) Self confidence, Passion to contribute in the making of new India, Determination
to follow my dreams, Clarity of mind, Broad Vision, Logical and Analytical skills
Post graduation plans
1) 5 year plans : To build on the knowledge ad experience I had with the political
system and burecracy of India by pursuing further studies in Policy making and
public administration in one of the best Univ of the world. Work for best
international organisations likeUN/ Unicef, travel across the world to get different
perspectives of public administration and policies in different countries.
2) 10 year plans :
Having had world exposure and lot of learnings, return to India and use all the
knowledge and experience for the welfare of the nation. Work with top ministers
and bureaucrats of India to help make right policy decisions and execution of the
same. On RTI brought the massive change in the system, right implementation of RTI
could change the face of the youth of India and many such policies and decisions can
take India from developing to developed status within next 20 years.
