Prophets:

Isaiah:
He was from Judah

He lived to see the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem.
Known as the weeping prophet
He warned Israle against fleeing to Egypt, though he was forcefully taken there himself.
He prophecied that their captivity would last 70 years.
He said that God would make a new covenant where the law would be written on the hearts of the
people.
He authored For I know the plans I have for you: plans to prosper you Jeremiah 29:11

Exekiel:
He saw the vally of dry bones
He was a prophet of the priestly class

He ministered to the Jews who were in exile in Babylon


He prophecied about:
Gods glory leaving the Temple and Jerusalem
Gods glory would return to a new temple that had not been built.
God would put His own spirit into His people.

Daniel:
Christian cannon: Prophets, Jewish cannon: Writings
His book is the most apocalyptic of all the books
Eskitology: Study of end times.
He prophecied about:
The statue of different metals
Gods kingdom would crush all human kingdoms
70 weeks were decreed for the Jews

Hosea:
He had to marry a prostitute (who ended up being continually unfaithful)
His unfaithful wife paralleled Israels unfaithfulness
God said, because of Israles unfaithfulness, that God would desire faithful love more than sacrifice.

Joel said I will pour out my spirit old men will dream dreams, young men will dream dreams, daughters
will prophecy (This was fulfilled at Pentacost in Acts)
Joel predicted the invasion of locust.
