HARVEST BAPTIST CHURCH PRAYER DIARY SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE TIMES 8:00, 9:00 & 11:00A.M.

MONDAYEVANGELISTIC PRAYER
Chronological Bible Reading: Hosea 7-9; Revelation 2
Monday, December 8
Acts 11:21 And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed,
and turned unto the Lord.
Mighty God and Merciful Savior:
I want to have more than a faith of mediocrity and indifference. A change
in the weather has more impact on some people than the potential of heaven or
the possibility of hell. Apathy is nothing but dishonest unbelief. I want a faith
that works, because I want to see __________ and __________ believe for
themselves, and get saved! Let me see an example of revival among the lost, so
that a number of people trust their souls to Jesus this winter.
The Book says after they believed, they also turned unto the Lord. Dear God,
this is lacking for a lot of people, and my heart breaks at it. Many of the men and
women who have come to Christ have not yet given-up their idols, and have yet
to start living lives to the glory of God. I confess Lord, this is our state. Father,
give us revival in the lives of the newly-saved. Only your Spirit can bring it about.
I plead with you to honor your Son and do it by his grace.
Teach them that to turn to God means to turn from the love of sin. Not
that we will never sin anymore, but that we will hate it when we do. If I look sinward I have my back to you. Give me complete conversions, so when people
turn from the folly of their sin they also turn to the glory of God!
I cannot be satisfied with the results of this holiday season unless you use
me to lead people all the way from repentance toward God, to a loathing of their
sins, and then an actual forsaking of those sins in this life. For this I turn to you
and seek you in prayer, because that is an inward type of revival that is more than
just show. I yield myself obediently to you today that it might be truest in my own
life. Make it spread afterward then to others, dear Jesus. Amen.
A DAILY PATTERN FOR PRAYER & BIBLE READING
Chronological Bible Reading: Joel; Revelation 5
Thursday, December 11
Acts 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added
to the church daily such as should be saved.
Ive been changed, healed, freed, delivered
Ive found joy, peace, grace, and favor
Ive been changed, in the presence of the Lord,
Ive been healed, freed, delivered, in Your presence Lord
Ive found joy, peace, grace, and favor
And right now is the moment, today is the day
Ive been changed; and I have waited for this moment to come
And I wont let it pass me by...
All my shame, guilt, sins, theyve been forgiven
No more chains, fear, my past is over
Say right now (right now is the moment)
Today is the day Ive been changed, and I have waited for this moment
And I wont let it pass me by, so we say,
I wont go back, cant go back, to the way it used to be
Before Your presence came and changed me
I wont go back, I cant go back, to the way it used to be
Before Your presence came and changed me

TUESDAYFOCUS ON CHRISTS LIFE

Chronological Bible Reading: Hosea 10-12; Revelation 3
Tuesday, December 9

WEDNESDAYREVIVAL PRAYING
Chronological Bible Reading: Hosea 13-14; Revelation 4
Wednesday, December 10

Luke 22:31-32 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to
have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and
when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Hosea 2:18 And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the
field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break
the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely.

Merciful Master:
Satan wants to sift me, with the hope I am blown away with the husks and
the chaff. It would satisfy him to have me in his power forever. He knows he
cannot destroy me, so he is especially trying to worry me. And since he cannot
devour me he tries to defile me. He cannot ruin my soul so he removes my peace.
1 Pet. 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that
perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the
appearing of Jesus Christ:
I know why the sifting is allowed. You let the Devil test the precious metal
in your treasury. Lord, overrule all Satans activities of sifting. So much so, my
wheat is made into clean grain today. Part of the preciousness of my faith is its
usefulness and strength from having been tempered in trials.
As a parent I might need some affliction, because a mother or father
without a trial can never give good counsel to a tempted child. I should
remember the fact that special discipline will qualify me for special service. Make
the roughness of my own road teach me to lead your other sheep along their
difficult pathways. Make me a better discipler because of my pain.
Remind me Lord, I can only go where you have gone before me, and I go
with your intercession. You made provision for all my future needs in a prayer
that is already presented. Satan may have his sieve, but as long as my Lord Jesus
wears his breastplate of a praying High Priest, I cannot be destroyed by Satans
sifting. For this Lord, I praise you today. Amen.

Glorious Lord:
I PRAY FOR PEACE TODAY. Sometimes it really seems like I work with
animals in the city, and fly with turkeys in the office. And dont even get me
going about the summer frenzy. Basically, I need peace over earthly haters, peace
in spiritual attacks, and peace about everyday distractions. Any one of these three
things can keep me stirred-up and anxious, but none of them have to.
Especially destroy those issues that threaten your work today. Break bow,
sword, and order of battle that Satan has planned against me. Peace is profound
when all the instruments of war are broken.
WITH THIS PEACE, BRING REVIVAL. I need to rest so I can stay energized. I
need a time of replenishing. I need to restore. Make me fully supplied and
spiritually settled, so I can reinvigorate during summer hurrynot backing down
in apathy, but becoming restful both in work and watchfulness for your return.
MAKE THIS SUMMER A SAFE ONE. We celebrate your first coming, but I
want to reach others before your second. Help me catch my breath and make it
over the hump, and remember to invite people I know to come to Christ, and
come with me to hear the gospel. So right now, I give you the most pressing
needs in my life and burdens on my heart. Give me grace and faith to trust you
for the best outcomethat your will be done and I glorify you.
Mark 6:31 Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while:
Lord, I can rest as long as I know you are using me! Thank you for your
watchcare this season. Amen.

FRIDAY CORPORATE PRAYER MINISTRY

Chronological Bible Reading: Amos 1-3; Revelation 6
Friday, December 12

SATURDAYIN THE PSALMS

Chronological Bible Reading: Amos 4-6; Revelation 7
Saturday, December 13

Acts 11:19 Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose
about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word
Heavenly Lord and Holy Savior:
The scattering of the disciples resulted in the spreading of good seed to
larger fields. So also make the malice of Satan be the instrument of mercy in our
church today. No matter what scattering takes place, help us by your Spirit
persevere, in making your name and your gospel known. Make us see this as our
real calling and career.
Today we are not scattered by persecution, but our job responsibilities
often take us to other places. Help us see all our travel in light of missionary
purposes. Providence operating through economics (or politics) often bids us to
change cubicles. Wherever we go, let us carry a testimony for Christ.
Open our eyes to how the status we have is not an accidental one. It has
not been decreed by blind, unplanned fate. There is providence in it all. We are
placed where we can be a preserving salt, and a sweet savor of Christ to everyone
around us. It is your grace that has ordained the relationship between the people
were around and ourselves. Make us messengers of mercy for revivals sake, a
herald of good tidings, an ambassador for Christ.
Phil. 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke,
in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
We have revival when we realize the surrounding darkness needs us. It
needs us and not someone else, because we are the ones your providence placed
thereto warn and rebuke some, to encourage and entreat others. Help us begin
to work by your Spirit even where we have done nothing before, and have hope
for those weve given up on. In Jesus name we claim it. Amen.

Psa. 100:2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
Gracious God and My Father:
A cheerful spirit is in keeping with your nature. Help me cherish your acts
and be grateful for your mercies this weekend. Your goodness is seen every day,
so I should praise you for it all the time.
The world will never be right until it shouts and adores God, and neither
will I. How long will I be blind to your blessings? My golden age will never arrive
till I love and honor you with all my heart.
Serve the LORD with gladness. You are my Lord, you are therefore to be
served. You are my gracious God, so you must be served with joy. As I pray, I
ought to seek your presence with praises. Singing is a serious thing. Prayer,
enveloped in praise, is the only true way of adoration.
Psa. 100:3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not
we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Declaring my relationship to you is in itself praise. When I tell others of
your goodness I am giving my best devotion. Thanksgiving is like the incense of
the temple that filled the whole house with fragrant smoke. Sacrifices for sins
have been stopped in this dispensation, but sacrifices of praise will never expire!
Lord I thank you, because the innermost court of your spiritual temple is
not open to all believers, but I can enter into that which is within the veil. You
expect me to acknowledge this high privilege by singing. Let praise be in my heart
as well as on my tongue! Let it be all for you, because it all belongs to you. I bless
your name, your character, your person, and your works. I bless you when you
take as well as when you give. Help me bless you under all circumstances, because
this is how I master them. I bow before you and rest on your word. Amen.

TIMEWORSHIP
Mark 1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and
departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

GIVE GOD THE FIRST PART OF EVERY DAY. The first commitment is
to a daily quiet time with God. Our weekly Prayer Diary provides a template for daily
devotions.

TITHEWORK
1 Cor 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as
God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

GIVE GOD THE FIRST DIME OF EVERY DOLLARno questions

asked. Ten percent is a miniscule amount in our affluent society, but it must come
off the top in order to show that God is our priority. We want the blessing of the
firstfruits (first devotion, first dime and first day) to flow out to the rest of our
resources.
3)

TEAMWORD
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;

GIVE GOD THE FIRST DAY OF EVERY WEEK. You should fellowship
with a group of believers around the word of God every Sunday in our church.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Baptists tend to ridicule liturgical churches that use "prepared prayers" because
they lack spontaneity. But for many Baptists, their prayers are so predictable they are
no more spontaneous than written-out prayers. The result is we end up praying the
same things over and over.
This daily Prayer Diary will prompt you on a wide range of prayer requests you
might not normally think of, while forcing you to articulate a deeper devotion to
God. We have included a daily Bible reading schedule. This plan will take you
through the Bible chronologically in a year.
Do not read ahead and do not try to catch up. Use each day as it comes. Then
you can know that on any given day, dozens of other people are lifting their hearts in
the same mind to God. Pray what is written, but use what is prayed as a springboard
for your own relationship with God. You learn to pray by praying.

Dont make excuses; make a difference!

Secret prayer is the secret of prayer, the soul of prayer, the seal of prayer, the
strength of prayer. If you do not pray alone you do not pray at all. Our Lord Jesus
Christ would go nowhere till He had prayed. He would attempt nothing till He had
prayed.
Oh, says one, I live in the spirit of prayer, and therefore I do not need times
and seasons for prayer. And do you think that Christ did not live in the spirit of
prayer? Yet He had to have his special time and place to pray. Do not fall under the
injurious notion that because your spirit cries to God in prayer all day long, therefore
there must not be some season for more immediately coming into Gods presence. If
you imagine this, I am afraid that it will prove a snare to your feet. The Lord Jesus
Christ, who knew better than you do that the main thing is the spirit of prayer rather
than the act of prayer, yet Himself retired into desert places to maintain the act and
exercise of prayer. Be spiritual. Be baptized into the spirit of prayer. But do not be
deceived by the enemy, who can steal a spirit away while we dream that we only
spiritualize it. We had better preserve the very bones of prayerthe posture, the
time, placerather than let it all ooze away into an impalpable mental condition.
God keep us prayerful. He will do so if He makes us like His dear Son.
Charles H. Spurgeon, 1834-92
