Start working with the larger hook.

Round
1. ch 3, 6 hdc in first ch, join w/sl st
2. ch 3, 1 sl st in next hdc, ch 3, 1 sl st in next hdc, rep around*, join w/sl st
3. 5 sc in each ch-3 sp (there are 7), join w/sl st
4. 1 sl st in the 2nd sc, ch 3, 4 dc in middle sc, dc in next sc, *sk 2 sc, dc in next sc, 4
dc in next sc, dc in next sc, rep around*, join w/ sl st (join to the top of the 1st dc
in the 4-dc-group)
5. ch 3, from now on work only in the back loops of the stitches, 5 dc in next dc, dc
in next 2 dc,*sk 2 dc, 1 dc in next dc, 5 dc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc, rep around*,
join w/sl st. Again, join to the top of the 1st dc after the beginner ch-3 chain. Join
the same way in every rnd.
6. ch 3, 1 dc in next dc, 5 dc in next dc, dc in next 3 dc, sk 2 dc, dc in next 2 dc, 5 dc
in next dc, dc in next 3 dc, rep around*, join w/sl st
7. ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, 5 dc in next dc, dc in next 4 dc, *sk 2 dc, dc in next 3 dc, 5
dc in next dc, dc in next 4 dc, rep around*, join w/ sl st
8. ch 3, dc in next 3 dc, 5 dc in next dc, dc in next 5 dc, *sk 2 dc, dc in next 4 dc, 5
dc in next dc, dc in next 5 dc, rep around*, join w/ sl st

9. ch 3, dc in next 4 dc, 5 dc in next dc, dc in next 6 dc, *sk 2 dc, dc in next 5 dc, 5
dc in next dc, dc in next 6 dc, rep around*, join w/ sl st
10. ch 3, dc in next 5 dc, 5 dc in next dc, dc in next 7 dc, *sk 2 dc, dc in next 6 dc, 5
dc in next dc, dc in next 7 dc, rep around*, join w/ sl st
11. ch 3, dc in next 15 dc, *sk 2 dc, dc in next 16 dc, rep around*, join w/ sl st
12. ch 3, dc in next 3 dc, hdc in next 5 dc, dc in next 5 dc, *sk 2 dc, dc in next 4 dc,
hdc in next 5 dc, dc in next 5 dc, rep around*, join w/sl st
13. ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, hdc in next 5 hdc, dc in next 4 dc, *sk 2 dc, dc in next 3 dc,
hdc in next 5 hdc, dc in next 4 dc, rep around*, join w/sl st
14. ch 2, hdc in next 9 st, *sk 2 dc, hdc in next 10 st, rep around*, join w/sl st
15. -16. Switch to smaller hook, start working regular stitches instead of the backloop-stitches. Work 2 sc rounds for the brim.
17. Visor- 3 sl st in next 3 sc, after you make 3 sl st (basically you have to "jump" to
the 4th stitch), ch 1, work 11 sc, then 1 inc sc (which is 2 sc in the same stitch), 5
sc, 1 inc sc (this has to be in the middle of the hat's front), 5 sc, 1 inc sc, 11 sc.
So the first row will look like this: 11sc-inc-5 sc-inc-5 sc-inc-11 sc. (38 sc plus
the 3 sl st at the beginning).Turn.
18. ch 1, skip the base of this ch, skip the next sc, 1 sc in next and rem stitches. 36 sc,
turn.
19. ch 1, skip the base of this ch, skip the next sc, 1 sc in next and rem stitches. 34 sc.
20. ch 1, skip the base of this ch, skip the next sc, 1 sc in next and rem stitches. 32 sc.
21. ch 1, skip the base of this ch, skip the next sc, 7 sc, 1 inc sc, 6 sc, 1 inc sc ( this
inc sc suppose to be in the middle), 6 sc, 1 inc, 8 sc, turn. So this row will look
like this: 7 sc-inc-6 sc-inc-6 sc-inc-8 sc. (33 sc)
22. ch 1, skip the base of this ch, skip the next ch, 1 sc in next and rem stitches. 31
sc.
23. ch 1, skip the base of this ch, skip the next ch, 1 sc in next and rem stitches. 29
sc.
24. ch 1, skip the base of this ch, skip the next ch, 1 sc in next and rem stitches. 27
sc. Fasten off.

Finishing round:
With a different color (or you can use the same color). Attach the yarn to the back of
the hat, work 1 sc around, fasten off, weave in ends, sew button on.
Iron the visor to make it nice and curvy.
When you do the finishing round, attach the yarn to the back of the hat, work 1 sc
around the edge. The visor will look curvier if you skip the "corners", just skip 1
stitch, and it will look nice. Also, ironing the visor is very important when you are
done, it makes it nice too.
