The workpackage includes all work and material (e.g. antenna mast, associated steel parts) that is needed to prepare,
construct, manufacture/fabricate, transport, erect and align a new tower/mast for mounting GSM and Microwave
antennas to suit the necessities of the GSM project for RadioMobil in the Czech Republic.
In more detail the work/installation to be carried out has to be according to the following specifications, the relevant
Czech Norms (CSN), laws and regulations including amendments and includes and is limited to:

Building services
- Clear away and store adjacently topsoil from locations designated for cranes, lorries and storage areas
- Supply and deliver good bearing material for soil replacement and terrain adjustment for crane, lorry
and storage locations
- Cover topsoil with adjacently stored surface soil
Foundation for the tower
- Build a reinforced concrete foundation for a good bearing base, using the permissible loading pressures
and in accordance with fixed requirements including excavated materials, soil removal and refilling of
excavations.
- The reinforcing steel of the foundation and all other metal parts shall be connected to the lightning
protection and grounding system (see Clause 10, 11 or 12 Lightning protection and grounding
system)
- The foundation has to be built in accordance to a proofed static analysis
- The following difficulties are not covered in the workpackage price:
- Soil Classes 1, 6 and 7
- Lowering of ground water levels
- Contaminated soil, ordnance
- Clearing of terrain affected by fouling or crops
- Breaking up fortified areas
- Location and movement of supply lines
- Special foundations
- Any other additional work which have to be done due to the reason of special conditions on
site
Antenna mast
- The following materials are permitted:
- hot galvanized steel pipe, corrosion resistant for maritime climate and very aggressive air
- or grid mast, corrosion resistant for maritime climate and very aggressive air
- or centrifugal molded concrete.
- The construction has to be as follows:
- Fixing points for attachment of ladder and vertical cable ducting.
- Designed for 6 GSM antennae on top with a diversity distance as specified (see Annex 1),
2 x 120 cm diameter MW antennas 4 m below the top of mast and 2 x 120 cm diameter
MW antennas 10 m below the top of mast. The static calculation for the mast has to be done
according to Czech law/regulations this means 0,55 kN/m 2 wind load for sea levels < 700 m
and 0,7 kN/m 2 wind load for sea levels > 700 m. The maximum elongation of the mast should
not be more then 0,5 degree under the above mentioned conditions.
- The mast and the GSM and MW antenna poles has to be designed for a wind velocity up to
200 km/h
A ladder (e.g. anodized Y-tree ladder, with a rung span of 280 mm and a tread width of 150 mm per side)
starting approximately 20 cm above the foundation neck shall be installed. The ladder shall be equipped
with a upper and a lower end stops and an ladder cover sheet to prevent unauthorized ascent of the ladder,
even from the rear.
Accessories for GSM and MW antennas (see also Clause 9 Antenna poles)
- The necessary hot galvanized antenna mounting systems for OMNI or sector antennas. The design
of these antenna mounting systems have to make sure, that the antennas will be reachable from the
mast (e.g. designed with pivot and fastening options for antenna cables and antenna frame bars
plus a small hot galvanized steel changeover (e.g. platform) located below the GSM antenna
mounting system and a safety ring located approx. 1.0 m above it for the attachment of safety
cables). For the design of the GSM antenna mounting system the minimum diversity distance of the
used antenna type has to be followed (see Annex 1).
- A maximum of 4 MW antenna mounting systems for mirrors up to 120 cm diameter, with variable
fastening options for frame bars of 108 mm diameter projecting approx. 50 cm.
A small hot galvanized steel changeover (e.g. platform) located below the MW antenna mounting
system and with a safety ring located approx. 1.0 m above it for the attachment of safety cables.

A lightning protection and grounding system as specified (see Clause 10, 11 or 12 Lightning protection

A safety system for the personal climbing and working on the tower/mast (Soell security system), according
to safety regulations and their amendments valid in the Czech Republic.

Description of container:

A complete documentation in 2 copies shall be provided on paper with the maximum format DIN A1 and
also where possible on electronic data media in a format, which the principal can read has to be handed
over according to the following time schedule.
The documentation shall contain all site specific information. All elements shall be shown in horizontal and
vertical projections and in the necessary number of sectional views. The dimension of the method of
construction (height, width, depth, weight) of all necessary facilities shall be specified. In case of
modifications the supplier shall update all drawings.
The dimensions (e.g. height, width, depth), weight, volume etc. has to be given in accordance to ISO
standard.
The documentation has to be written in English or in Czech.

MW antenna poles
The MW antenna poles have to be built in accordance to the MW description and line of site survey.
The following materials are permitted for the poles:
- hot galvanized steel pipe to provide corrosion resistance in a maritime climate and extremely
aggressive air and has to be free of damages (e.g. scratches, dents, rust).
- grid mast, corrosions protection as above
- centrifugally molded concrete
The whole metal work has to be hot galvanized to provide corrosion resistance in a maritime climate and
extremely aggressive air and has to be free of damages (e.g. scratches, dents, rust).
The surface of the metal parts shall not be rough.
The diameter of the MW antenna support (fixing point) has to be 108 mm for MW antennas with diameter
0,3 m, 0,6 m and 1,2 m.
Behind the MW antenna support there has to be a free space of > = 500 mm.
There has to be enough space on both side of the MW antenna to change the direction maximum 15
degree.
The static calculation for the MW antenna poles have to be done according to Czech law/regulations this
means 0,55 kN/m 2 wind load for sea levels < 700 m and 0,7 kN/m 2 wind load for sea levels > 700 m. The
maximum elongation of the MW antenna pole should not be more then 0,5 degree under the above
mentioned conditions. The MW antenna poles have to be designed for a wind velocity up to 200 km/h
The installation of the MW antenna poles have to be done on base of a proved structural analysis for the
pole and the load transfer to the building.
The joints has to be secured according to CSN-Norm and the statical planning. The used screws has to be
hot galvanized.
The structural analysis on base of the MW antennas mentioned in the MW description have to be done one
level higher (0.3 m = 0.6 m, 0.6 m = 1.2 m and 1.2 m = 1.2 m).
All mounting components are to be made of hot galvanized steel and of suitable strength and appropriate
dimension.
Safety installations (Soell security system) for the personal climbing and working on the MW antenna pole
has to be installed, according to the safety regulations and their amendments valid in the Czech Republic.
If a Soell safety system is installed the needed interchange and get off services has also to be installed. The
Soell security system has to be installed at free standing MW antenna poles with a height of more than 5 m
above floor level.
Foot steps (for poles with a height of less than 5 m above floor level) or a Soell ladder (for poles with a
height of more than 5 m above floor level) has to be installed until approximately 1,5 m below the fixing
point of the MW antenna.
A grip for the rope for antenna transport has to be arranged on top of the antenna pole with a minimum
diameter of 30 mm.
If it is possible to walk in front of the MW antenna, there has to be a minimum vertical safety distance above
the possible walking level of 2,5 m.
A connection point for the grounding of the MW antenna system has to be provided at the antenna pole.

For protection against lightning damages, all metallic parts have to be connected to the lightning protection
system as specified (see Annex 2).
A main ground with maximum 5 Ohm has to be provided.
A isolated copper ground bar with minimum 10 connection points (see F Annex 2) has to be installed inside
of the container.
A isolated hot galvanized steel ground bar with minimum 10 connection points (see G Annex 2) has to be
installed outside of the container.

to the buried external ring bus

FeZn-conductor with a minimum cross section of 16 mm 2 (see Annex 2) to the buried external ring bus.
Connection point for lightning protection has to be placed on the bottom of the mast/poles.
Delivery and erection of all necessary materials such as conductors, ground bars, cross connectors, cable
ducts etc. for complete lightning protection and complete grounding of all elements.

Inside of the BTS equipment room the PUK wire-mesh cable tray G 50 40 S or comparable has to be used
for horizontal cable installation.
Inside of the container a wire-mesh cable tray or comparable has to be used for horizontal cable installation
(300 mm inside width).
Cable trays interior have to be provided according to the floor plan (if possible two long trays along long
walls and one cross tray at the center of the equipment room or the container)
The minimum heights of the cable support system above floor level has to be 2,25 m inside of the
equipment room or container.
All metal parts have to be joined and connected to grounding system.

Outside of the BTS equipment room but inside of the building (indoor) the PUK RGS 60 20 - S or
comparable (until 3 cables) and the RGS 60 40 S or comparable (more than 3 cables) has to be used for
horizontal cable installation
Outside of the building the PUK RGS 60 20 - F or comparable (until 3 cables) and the RGS 60 40 F or
comparable (more than 3 cables) has to be used for horizontal cable installation
If there is a risk, that someone could step on the cables or could damage it, the cable tray has to be covered
with the cover RDR-20 S or RDR-40 S or comparable outside of the BTS equipment room, but inside of the
building.
Outside of the building the cable tray has to be covered with the cover RDR-20 F or RDR-40 F or
comparable to protect the cables against e.g. falling ice, unauthorized touch.
For horizontal cable installation outside of the building the cable tray has to be fixed on concrete stones of
instructed dimensions. The cable tray will be screwed to the stones, the distance between the stones is max.
2 m. The stones have to stand on a fixed ground (e.g. not on gravel)
In inaccessible places outside of the building the cables could be fixed only on stones with C-bars (e.g.
INOX) and clamps and in the case of vertical cable installation inside and outside of the building the cables
will be fixed only with C-bars and clamps. The minimum wide of the C-bars and clamps should be 40 cm.
The distance between the C-bars have to be not more than 60 cm.
If it is inevitable to project the cables against unauthorized touch the PUK cable tray RG 110-20 F (until 3
cables) or RG 110-40 F (more than 3 cables) together with the cover RDR-20 F or RDR-40 F have to be
used for vertical cable installation outside and inside of the building.
If antenna cables are to be fed in underground, suitable empty pipes shall be bedded into sand. The
minimum bending radius (for repeated bending) of the supplier of the antenna cables (1/2 ins until 1 5/8 ins
cables) has to be followed. The used pipe has to protect the installed antenna cable against all possible
damages (e.g. it has to be resistance against pressure, UV-resistant, resistance against decay). The
minimum deep under ground has to be 80 cm.
The cable tray shall be connected to the lightning protection system.
If the galvanization of the cable tray or the cable tray coverage will be damaged by cutting it has to be
deburred and covered by zink-painting.
The minimum bend radius (for repeated bending) of the supplier of the antenna cables (1/2 ins until 1 5/8
ins cables) has to be followed.
The cable support system (cable tray, C-bars) has to be built according to the specification of the needed
grounding of the antenna cables.
If a power cable for 220 V will be installed in the cable support system (cable tray, C-bars), the distance to
the antenna cables has to be more than 10 cm.
The installed coverage-edges has to be covered
The cable support system (cable tray, C-bars) has to allow fixing of GSM/MW antenna cables with the help
of RSB, FIMO or PUK clips (1/2 ins until 1 5/8 ins cables).
Cable trays/ducts up to 40 m per antenna sector for leading MW + GSM cables from the antennas into
equipment room/outdoor unit/container.
The cable tray has to be well fixed with the appropriate PUK support element or comparable
