Now I will touch on one of the CSR efforts mentioned by
Nicholas that our company is most keen on. I am going to elaborate the second CSR efforts about raising funds for our lab to study the disease of ALS. The Programme that we initiated is called FreezeTheMoment. The basic idea is to start an online activity to ask people to upload their photos of the Ice Bucket Challenge experience, On 1st Dec, we are going to hold an event to exhibit the photos of the winners, and a charity bid these photos starting from $50. All the money collected will be designated to develop the cure for ALS. The results my company expects is a total fund raising of 10 million. The first thing that I am going to talk about is the cost estimation. The cost should be minimized. This is the cost estimation for the online activity and the event of photo bidding. The cost includes the money spent for venue rent, tickets, website design, food, marketing and advertising. The total expenditure is twenty six thousand. Secondly, I am going to talk about our photo bidding event. The date is first of December, from 10am to 7am at Suntec City Conventional Exhibition Center. The event will officially start at 10am; however, guests are allowed to enter the venue from 9.30m. We will serve cocktail wine throughout the event. In addition to that, we will arrange the convention hall corner for people to try out the Ice Bucket Challenge provided with some motivational presents. Thirdly, I am going to talk about the staff involved. The organizing committee is separated into four groups: event manager, treasurer, other roles as promotions and secretary and general members with various responsibilities on the ground. Lastly, I am going to talk about press coverage and VIPs to invite. Within the budget, we can get a short advertisement onto the internet, focus on the information like date, time, place, and how to get there, etc. The invitation card for the ALS Photo Bidding Event will be sent to the committee members of other ALS related organizations, prestigious guests, and journalists from press media such as MediaCorp for over 500 people. Lastly I am going to summarize our presentation. Amy have introduced briefly about the industry chosen and the made up company to be. And Wangdong has listed at least two advantages of the company in the view of corporate social responsibility. Nicholas has explained 3 general ideas of a CSR effort the chosen company can make, and myself has selected one of the efforts mentioned about to speak in detail., like its programs, cost, date and other details. The whole presentation has illustrated the explicit understanding of CSR and has shown that our idea of developing a company with good CSR reputation is actually feasible.
