 PREFACE

Training in business organization infuses among students a sense of critical

analysis of the real managerial situation to which they are exposed, my institution has
given me opportunity through training to be aware of and cope worth fast rate changing
technology, management policies, quality and productivity etc. This is a bold attempt to
bridge the gap between the ‘worked of work’ and ‘studies imparted in the institutions’.

This training enables us to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations,

appreciate the sense of responsibility, importance of discipline, punctuality and the
psychology of worker and their habits which make us more professional and near to the
world of technology and team work. Industrial training brings out better citizens, better
technocrats and better diplomats out of us.

I was lucky to get an opportunity to work in one of the top limited sector industry ICICI
BANK. The purpose of this training was to gain knowledge about the industry, how it
works and also to see the environment of the industries joined the training not only for
these purposes, but also to learn something about operation of the BANKING SECTOR.

I have worked in the concern for 6 weeks and prepared my industrial training report
under the guidance of training officer, analyzed various aspects of production. This has
helped me in boosting up my confidence and determination, which will help me to face
any situation in the years to come.

This report is a written account of what I learnt and experienced during this period I
Wish, those going through it, will not only find it readable but will also find useful
information for future.

I have utilized all the opportunities that came my way in the course of my training.

 Aim of every business to earn profits. In this competitive world a business can
earn profit if it provides innovative services of better Quality at competitive prices. To
stay in competition one need to produce services according to customer needs. To
achieve success in this competitive world an organization is required to introduce new
technology so that they can compete in the market. One needs to find out the prevailing
prices & innovative services, features so that it can attract the competitor’s customers.
The Innovative methods introduced should fulfill commitments, give advantage & easy
to use to customer otherwise it would be failed and would lead to losses because
introduction of any innovative method involves heavy cost.

ICICI (industrial credit Investment Company of India) is a most reputed financial

company. This company is not restricted to only the hometown but also outside the
whole country. As the finance is the lifeblood of the business and that is the main aspect
that I have covered in my project. The future of any concern whether it is manufacturing
or service industry depends on its customers, Quality Products and better financial
services without adequate Market Research the company cannot reach to its peak.
Finance Department and its functions Plays an Important Role of any concern.
Conducting a Market research, a company can come to know the performance of its
services in the competitive market and can able to control its futuristic strategies. Also
company can come to know the customer demands and latest trends pertaining in the
market and Moreover by conducting research a company can successfully launch its
customer oriented services and make improvements in its services.
