Analyzer/Conditioning Charger

Designed for the LITHIUM ION & LITHIUM POLYMER BATTERIES

AdvanceTec Analyzer/Conditioning Charger

for the LITHIUM ION & LITHIUM POLYMER BATTERIES
Part No. Single Bay AT5000Li or Four Bay AT4-5000Li
The performance of all batteries will diminish with use but will last longer if charged, conditioned and
maintained correctly. AdvanceTec makes use of VSC (Voltage Specific Control) in its charging algorithm
of Li-Ion and Li-Poly chemistry cell batteries to maximize the life of the battery.
Eventually a batterys capacity will gradually decline, resulting in diminished talk and standby time. To
ensure that a battery remains serviceable and safe to use, it is necessary to periodically determine the
capacity of the battery.

Features
+ Offers all the benefits of a Conditioning Charger for every day use,
plus an Analyzer function to accurately determine the capacity
of the battery
+ Capacity of the battery will be displayed on the units digital
readout - No software required
+ Switches to maintenance mode after charging, ensuring
the battery remains in peak condition for as long as it
is left on the charger

Primary Charge Termination

Inflection point cut off.

econdary Charge Termination:

S
A. Negative Delta Voltage (-Delta V). The maximum point of the charge curve is detected and
the charge is terminated when the slope of the charge voltage reverses direction.

B. Timer. An internal timer will terminate the charge after a predetermined time has elapsed.

Benefits Description
1. Fully charged rested cells that have lost their surface charge are detected by
observing a rapid increase in voltage when current is first applied. When detected
the charge is terminated.

2. Fully charged batteries not rested long enough to lose their surface charge, will f
requently produce negative slope. When detected the charge is terminated.

3. If a High impendence battery is detected the charge is terminated and the IFD will
be activated with indicator lights.

4. Shorted cells or shorted contacts are detected and the charge is terminated. The
IFD will be activated showing the corresponding indications lights.
