Need of Death Penalty

We all live in a social contract. This contract is not a document that everybody applies in order to be
affiliated in a certain community but an intrinsic bond that exists between citizens and their society. This
agreement implies responsibilities that each member ought to follow by all means. And so, once a
member failed to comply with the requirements and obligations that bind him, a certain disciplinary
action is need to act upon for to revive the order in the society. It is very important to take note that
norms and laws are formulated not to infringe and to delimit members action but to secure each
citizens welfare. Therefore, it is tantamount to say that citizens well-being is the primary concern and
the beneficiary of the formulated laws and norms.
With the crimes in the society today, citizens well-being is compromised. It is one way of realizing that
nobody is safe even in their own houses. With the rampant criminality, there is no certainty that we
wont be victimized by rags of the society. These criminals are merciless inflicting harm to people who
want only is to live and to enjoy life. And so, there must be a defining factor that would eliminate
anxiety, horror and uneasiness to citizens life. And that is fear. Criminals have the courage to terrorize
innocent citizens because they do not have fear. Fear that in doing wrong, there is a corresponding
penalty that they need to face. It is true that petty crimes have a corresponding counter disciplinary
action, but what is imprisonment? It is actually a light response to any crimes. Does it inflict fear? Of
course not a single hair is raised. It is just a simple consolation for those who are suffering relatives?
Criminals dont actually mind it. Their twisted mentality will just say, Imprisonment is not a big deal. It
is just a temporary solution to those people who committed heinous crimes. Therefore, the only answer
is: nothing is actually compromised.
What the society needs is more than imprisonment to really succumbed justice. It is more than that. We
need Capital Punishment. It should be the rule of Death Penalty. Serial criminals dont have any more
chance to live for they dont value life itself. For if they value life they wont inflict harm to anybody.
They dont have any rights to live, for they have surrendered already their rights to the rule of law. They
need to be annihilated. If their existence lies on the sacredness of life, they dont have any right to enjoy
it for they dont value the sacredness of others life. Our society needs capital punishment to lessen
crimes or even to eliminate it. If we will continue to patronize crimes by not letting those criminals to
continue living. We will have a continuous anxiety in living.
