Description

Sika ViscoCrete RM200 is a third generation high performance dual action

superplasticizer for concrete which can also produce self-compacting concrete.
It is based on Sikas own ViscoCrete technology.
This product is suitable for tropical and hot climatic conditions.

Uses

Sika ViscoCrete RM200 is especially suitable for producing the following

types of concrete:

the production of site mixed, ready-mix concrete

in summer, or hot weather, for the production of concrete with extended
transportation or placing times
concrete requiring retained workability for extended periods Textured
surface finishes
concrete with extremely high water-reducing capacity
Self-compacting concrete especially for where highly congested reinforcing
steel is encountered or for slim elements requiring a high standard of
surface finish.

Concrete mixed Sika ViscoCrete RM200 is extremely flow able whilst retaining
optimal cohesion and exhibiting high self-compacting properties.

High water reduction and excellent flow ability have a positive influence on the
above mentioned applications.

Durable concrete

Sika ViscoCrete RM200 does not contain chloride or other steel corrosion
promoting ingredients. It may therefore be used without any restrictions for
reinforced and pre-stressed concrete construction

Dosage

Recommended dosage:
For medium workability: 0.2 0.7 % by weight of cement
For concrete of high workability, very low water/cement ration and for selfcompacting concrete: 0.80 1.60 % by weight of cement.

Instructions

Dispensing

Sika ViscoCrete RM200 is added to the gauging water or simultaneously

poured into the concrete mixer. For optimum utilization of the high water
reduction. Mixing at a minimal wet mixing time of 60 seconds is recommended.

Concrete Placing

With the use of Sika ViscoCrete RM200, concrete of the highest quality can
be produced. The standard rules of good concreting practice (production as
well as placing) must also be observed.

Curing

Fresh concrete must be cured properly, especially at high temperatures in order

to prevent plastic and drying shrinkage. Use Sika Antisol products as a curing
agent or apply wet hessian..

Compatibility

Sika ViscoCrete RM200 can be combined with the following Sika products:
- Sika Pump
- Sika FerroGard-901

Sika Construction

- Sika Stabilizer

Combination with Silica-fume is particularly well suited for use with Silica-fume
because of its water reduction capability and superior slump control.
It is also compatible with sulphate resistant cement. Pre-trials are
recommended in case with the above products

Cleaning of Tools

Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use.

Remarks

When accidental overdosing occur, apart from retardation of the initial set and
increased bleeding, no detrimental effect will take place.

Safety
Precautions

Accidental splashes to the skin must be washed off with water and soap.
Accidental splashes to the eyes or mucous membrane must be rinsed with
clean warm water. Seek medical attention without delay.
Skin barrier cream, safety goggles and rubber gloves are recommended.

Ecology

Do not dispose of into water or soil but according to local regulations.

Toxicity

Non-toxic under the relevant Swiss health and safety codes.

Transportation

Non-hazardous.
