Tip: in English spelling is very important due to the variety of pronunciations a


word may have. Spelling is required when giving personal information such as
names, last names, addresses, emails, etc.

The possessive adjective needs to agree with the possessor and not with
the thing that is possessed.

Hi. My names Timo Kekkonen. Im Finnish and I live in Espoo. I live with my
partner, Seija. Shes a receptionist at a hotel. We have a son, Matti. Hes two. I
work for a bank in Helsinki. I get up very early at six oclock, and I leave
home at 6:30. I go to work by train. It takes an hour and its very crowded. The
normal time to start work at my company is eight oclock. I get to work at 7.30
because I always have a lot of work. I finish work at 7 oclock every day. I get
home an hour later. Its a long day, but I dont work at the weekend.

Stephanie Debord
Im a lawyer in the south of Belgium and my clients work in agriculture. They
do business with countries like the UK and the USA. They get a lot of
documents in English. So I read and explain the documents for them. I dont
speak much English at work. I sometimes answer the phone, but its difficult to
understand. I prefer using English for emails and letters.

English is very important in my job. All the information I need is in English. My
colleagues are in the USA. We speak on the phone and write emails in English.
I use English all the time speaking English is a normal part of my life. I love
speaking English and working with people from other countries. Its great. But

tricky!
