Hope

or seven years now, my mother, Leah Buenacosa, has been living in a

miracle. Having been diagnosed with Cerebello-Pontine Angle Meningioma, a
type of brain tumor, in September 2006, the years that went by were years
of hope.

My family was not prepared for this kind of sickness.

My dad works as the campsite manager in Christian
Growth Ministries, a Christian NGO, where Mama
used to work as a social worker in the 80s. For years,
we are happy living our simple but content lives. We
didnt have much in the bank.

By the end of 2007, Mama was bed-ridden. Her

inability to walk, talk, and eat solid food were the
effects of the brain tumor that was discovered just a
few months back. But Gods grace and love is

abundant. With the help of good people, we were able
to raise half a million pesos for her first operation, our first miracle.
The operation went better than expected after just a year, Mama was able to regain her
ability to walk and do simple tasks. We were astounded on how well and how fast she
recovered. Her recovery enabled her to go back to her usual routinemanaging our
home, teaching women in our churchs Sunday school, travelling. We were all happy to
get her back. She enjoyed four years of recovery.
The Lord is still not done showing His grace and glory.
In February 2012, she had her second to operation to
remove her growing tumor. Unlike the first operation, this
one was not a complete success.
In a recent MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scan, we
found out that her brain tumor has regrown to 5.5cm. She
is now having a hard time walking and seeing as a result to
the tumors growth. To which her doctor advised an
immediate operation. Despite the circumstance, we hold
on to the fact that Gods hope will not disappoint us.
We want you to be a part of our journey of hope and
miracles. For the third operation, we need 400,000 pesos
or more or less $10,000 for the surgery (including the
doctors fee, room, and medicine). Your prayer and
