Lesson aims:

To raise SS attention upon the both tenses

To practice Present Tense Continuous

To practice vocabulary related to the topic

to practice Present Tense Simple & Continuous

to practice their speaking/writing skills

to practice vocabulary related to parts of the house

to use diagrams

ACTIVITY 1 : WARM-UP/CHECK -UP

Teacher create the specific atmosphere, asking about absents and how the weather is like.
Chatting in English at the beginning of the lesson, T creates an English language atmosphere,
establishing contact between her and SS, and helps SS to feel relax. (2min)
AIMS:

To get SS involved into the previous topic

PROCEDURE
T asks several questions about weather and SS mood .SS are asked
to close their books .T asks What do they think Daniel is writing
about in his letter? SS now read Daniels letter. Chatting in English
at the beginning of the lesson, T creates an English language
atmosphere, establishing contact between her and SS, and helps SS
to feel relax.
SS elicit the answers reading their homework. T checks the answer
with the whole class.
T elicit the word HOUSE from the letter and explains to the SS that

the house vocabulary) Ss work in pairs and they have to solve
different task (from easy to difficult) T gives SS time to check this in

and drill necessary for pronunciation. Ss have to write down also
the vocabulary related to furniture.( if it needs)

order to emphasize the two tenses: Present

grammar structure once again to Ss focusing on

have to explain why there is a difference between the two tenses comparing them every time. T explains
the topic of the homework and gives examples.
