Engineer Syllabus 2014-15
RRB stands for Railway Recruitment Board
Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) conducts written exam for various posts
including Senior Section Engineer. This year also, Sr. Section Engineer group exam
is scheduled to be held on 21 Dec. 2014. It is a single stage exam means candidates
have to just qualify the written test and they will be selected based on Merit. To
qualify this test, candidates need to prepare according to latest syllabus of the
written exam. Also they need to know the pattern of the exam to be conducted.

RRB SSE Exam Pattern:
Railway Recruitment Board SSE written exam consists of Objective type questions
like in most of the competitive exam. A total of 150 questions are asked which are
to be answered in 2 hours.

RRB SSE Syllabus 2014-15 - Part A - General Ability

General Intelligence & Reasoning:Number Series, syllogism, Input-Output, Coding-decoding, Word Building, Seating
arrangement, Clock, Calender. Similarities and differences, analogy, space
visualization / orientation. Decision making, visual memory, Direction sense test,
Blood relations, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification. Arithmetic number
series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding. Statement conclusion.

Environmental Engineering, measurements of distance and directions.
RRB Mechanical Engineering Syllabus :- Questions from Strength of Materials,
Theory of Machines, Kinematics of Machine, Engineering Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics,
Heat Transfer, Thermodynamics, Power Engineering, Steam Tables,
Thermodynamics cycles, I.C. Engines cycles, Casting, Machining and Machine Tool
Operations, Metrology and Inspection subjects topics will be asked.
RRB Sr. Section Engineer Syllabus 2014-15 Electrical Engineering :Questions will be based on topics of Electrical Machines, Basics of circuit & Power
Electronics. They will also include Electrical and Electronic Measurements, Analog

RRB Computers Engineering Syllabus :- Computer fundamentals, MS Office,
languages, Information systems, DBMS, Operating systems, Software Engineering,
Computer Networks, Database, Algorithms, Network communication, System
programming, Web technology & programming.
RRB Sr. Section Engineer (IT) Syllabus :- MS Office; Computer fundamentals &
organization; C , C++ & Java language; Information systems; DBMS; System

Control.
Instrumentation & Measurement Engineering :- Questions from Basics of

Respected Sir,
I am CSE graduate student. I've applied RRB 2014. By considering
my degree, only depot material superintendent post available. And I
applied for it. Syllabus for the post includes all streams such as civil ,
mechanical, instrumentation, electrical, eletronical also. Do i need to
study all? And What are books for preparations? Plz kindly advice.

I am Computer engg diploma holder I've applied RRB 2014. By

considering my diploma, je(signal), je(telecommunication), je(it) depot
material superintendent post available. And I applied for it. Syllabus
