Abstract
In this moment, entrepreneur not only for Proffesional people who educated on it or trained people in
special skill on entrepreneur. Entrepreneur is more grows in student of university which just want to
learn about this subject or want to get extra salary for his need. Not only for it, student also want to get
experience on it so that when they are graduated from university, they can get more skill about
entrepreneur and more ready to get job that not only in skill that they have learnt in university. In other
hand, communication sains is growing up and also help to support them to promote their product easier.
This research purpose is to know about effect of interet as communicating media for product promotion
to increasing product sales of entrepreneur student in malang. This research made with quantitative
methods approach that using 10 entrepreneur student in Malang as a participants of research.
Chapter I
Introduction
A. Background Of Research
Because of there are number of student of university who interest with entrepreneur
world, this time there are many student who want to be entrepreneur student in many kind of
product. Some entrepreneur student just sell their product in small area like in campus or
home. But, there are some entrepreneur student want to make their bussinness bigger than
before.
One of the way to do it is promotion. Some entrepreneur student begin to promote their
product in many ways. The way that usually used is to spread brochure or make
advertisement in magazine and newspaper. But those way are need too much of cost and it
will be so tired to spread many brochures everyday. Peoples usually not interesting to read the
brochure or newspaper advertisment because almost people think that it is wasting of time
and bored. Almost people now prefer to search goods or watching promotion in internet
because they can do more than two activity with it, they can browsing about assignment, do
their job, or just play in social media while browse about product.
To support this trend, technology grows up and make everything must follow it.
Information about product which usually presented in brochure or in daily newspaper not able
to reach many customer. So, everybody now change from brochure to more interesting
promotion media that can be able to access by many people all over the world, internet.
Internet can be used as a media promotion like website or social media to reach more people
and customer.
Because of this issue, this research choose topic about Effect of Using Internet on
Product Advertising and Promotion to Increase Sale of Product for Entrepreneur Student in
Malang.
B. Identification of Problem
1. How is effect of using internet as promotion and advertising media to increase sale of
product of entrepreneur student?
2. Why internet can gives effect in promotion and advertising media to increase sale of
product of entrepreneur student?
C. Purpose of Research
1. To know effect of using internet as promotion and advertising media to increase sale of
product of entrepreneur student.
2. To understand reason about why internet can gives effect in promotion and advertising
media to increase sale of product of entrepreneur student.
D. Hipotesys
h1:There are any Effect of using internet as promotion and advertising media to increase sale
of product of entrepreneur student
h0 :There are nothing Effect of using internet as promotion and advertising media to increase
sale of product of entrepreneur student
Chapter II
Discussion
1. Research Methods
This Research is using quantitative methods approach that we can know real value of data.
This method used to understand how many increasement of product sales in a day. Any
several aspects that provide this methods, they are :
A. Object of Observation
Object of this observational research is Entrepreneur Student of Univertisy in Malang. This
object is choosed because the entrepreneur student is suitable to complete observation and
can give many information which needed to this research.
C. Number of Participant
This observational research uses about 10 (ten) peoples that provide entrepreneur student
from several university in Malang. These Entrepreneur students sell many kind of product
start from sell real product as goods like cloth, gadget, hand made, books, and food untill
sell service product like graphic design and advertising product.
D. Place of Observation
Locations of this observational research are in several university in Malang. It provided of
Kanjuruhan University, Brawijaya University, and State University of Malang.
E. Duration of Research
Duration of this research is about 7 days start from make research planning, collecting data
and sample, analyzed data result, until make conclusion about this observational research.

3. Analysis of Research
In table 1 showed that entrepreneur student upload their product beetween 10 untill 50
product, it also showed that there are still some entrepreneur student promote their product
in internet. It can be because they do not sell many product. But, almost entrepreneur
student upload their product to internet for any reason, the are reason is they have many
product to sale and usually they upload their product pictures to internet like sicial media
because of request from their friends and their customer so that their customer can know
new product of them.
From data result in diagram of promotion media internet ofte used showed that in
observation result, we can know that entrepreneur student usually use social media more
often than other communication media in internet like website, mailing list, and online
advertisement. The entrepreneur student are prefer to social media because of this media is
easier to used by every people than other media. Social media used to upload many pictures
of product which will be promoted.
From this data result in Chart of Product Sold, we can know that there are increasing of
product sales from prodct that not promoted with internet and without internet. Product that
not promoted by internet just can reach highest sales level at 25 products sold in a day. But
with internet product sold is increasing to 30 product sold in a day. But, this increasemet is
not too significant, because most the entrepreneur student almost promote their product in
small area like in campus or around their home, and they do not sell many product.
Chapter III
Closing
1. Conclusion
From every data result show that any increasment of product sold with using promotion in
internet. This increasemet is not too significant, because most the entrepreneur student almost
promote their product in small area like in campus or around their home, and they do not sell
many product. The entrepreneur student are prefer to social media to promote their product sales
because of this media is easier to used by every people than other media. The entrepreneur student
upload their product beetween 10 untill 50 product per day in internet to promote their product
sales.
