THIS IS A TWO WEEK NOTICE TO ALERT COMMUTERS OF UPCOMING
PARKING MODIFICATIONS DURING THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE
EMPIRE OUTLETS & NY WHEEL DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
Dear Customers,
Impark wants to keep ongoing parking customers at the Staten Island Ferry Terminal parking facilities updated
on the planned parking arrangements during the construction of the Empire Outlets and NY Wheel development
projects. Over the course of the next couple of months we will be implementing a two-phase alternate parking
plan. Phase 1 will be effective on December 1st, 2014.
During Phase 1, Impark will remove approximately 300 spaces from the current NYC DOT lot, (Lot A), located
next to the ferry terminal, and during Phase 2, Lot A will be closed completely. Lots B & C, located at the far side
of the stadium, will continue to operate with a free shuttle service during the entire construction utilizing managed
valet parking with stackers.
To better serve our customers, Impark will be offering monthly parking permits for all spaces at Lots B & C. The
monthly permit cost will be $125.00; taxes included, and will ensure commuters a parking space at Lots B
& C throughout all construction phases.
If monthly permit sales account for all available spaces at Lots B & C, this may result in a limited number of
available spaces for commuters purchasing daily parking. To meet the displaced parking demands, Impark will
offer parking at five (5) new temporary parking lots along Bay Street and Richmond Terrace (see map on reverse),
and will provide a free private shuttle service between these lots (except for 22 Academy) and the St. George
Ferry terminal. Public transit options, including MTA Bus or Staten Island Railway service will also be readily
accessible from parking sites. You can view these and other public transit routes and times at http://www.mta.
info/schedules.
If you are interested in purchasing a monthly parking permit, please stop by the Impark parking office located
at the current NYC DOT lot (Lot A). There will be only 800 permits available, so Impark recommends that
commuters secure a space as quickly as possible. Only monthly permit holders will have guaranteed parking in
Lots B & C during Phase 2.
