STAGING OF 58th NATIONAL SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP IN SMALL BORE RIFLE & PISTOL
EVENTS AT BALEWADI SHOOTING RANGES, PUNE 12TH TO 24TH DECEMBER 2014

Dear Sir/Madam,
The 58th National Shooting Championship Competitions (NSCC) in Small Bore Rifle and Pistol events will be
organized by the National Rifle Association of India at Balewadi Shooting Ranges, Pune from 12 th to 24th December
2013 as per details given in program attached at Appendix A. This National Championship will be conducted by
Maharashtra Rifle Association.
Those competitors who want to participate in this competition are requested to go through the following instructions
carefully for their own convenience and to ensure smooth and successful conduct of the above competitions.
1)

MATCHES
All the matches will be conducted according to NRAI Match Book 2013 and the list of the matches is
attached herewith as Appendix B.
The Match Book is available on our website and can be downloaded from there. The website address is
www.thenrai.in

2)

ENTRY FORM/ FEE

a)

Entry Form for INDIVIDUAL matches is sent herewith for your use. More can be sent on request. The
Entry Form duly completed along with Entry Fee and one photograph of Competitors should be sent to this
Office to reach this office on or before 27th November 2014. The Entry Fee should be remitted by Cash/
Money Order or by Bank Draft in favor of THE NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION OF INDIA. Kindly
note that cheques will not be accepted. Late entries, if any, will be accepted with a three times of the normal
fee as per rule 6.3 of the NRAI Match Book till 5th December 2014.

b)

The competitors cards duly completed will be delivered at NRAIs camp office at Balewadi Shooting
Ranges, Pune.

c)

SHOOTERS WHO WISH TO PARTICPATE ON WILD CARD ENTRY MUST APPLY THROUGH
RESPECTIVE STATE RIFLE ASSOCIATIONS GIVING FULL DETAILS OF THEIR EARLIER
PARTICIPATION BEFORE 27th November 2014 OTHERWISE REQUESTS WILL NOT BE
CONSIDERED. APPLICATIONS RECEIVED DIRECTLY FROM INDIVIDUALS WILL NOT BE
CONSIDERED.

3)

PARTICIPATION

a)

Participation is open to competitors from State Rifle Associations/ Units affiliated to NRAI. In case
where no State Rifle Association exists, competitors belonging to clubs directly affiliated to NRAI
will be allowed to participate. NRAI members must take part through State Rifle Associations/ Units
of their native place otherwise their entry will not be accepted. All the State Rifle Associations/ Units
will allow the members of NRAI to participate without becoming members of that State/ Club to
which he/ she belongs. However, if there is no such Association / Club functioning in their State,
they can take part as members of NRAI provided they have paid all their dues towards NRAI.

b)

Those who are below 21 years/18 years of age as on 31 st December 2014 will be considered as
Juniors /Youth (1994/1997 onwards) respectively for the Championship. SHOOTERS BELOW

THE AGE OF 12 YEARS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN

MATCHES USING FIRE ARMS.
c)

YOUTH SHOOTERS ARE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN JUNIOR AND

SENIORS CATEGORY SIMULTANEOUSLY. JUNIORS CAN PARTICIPATE
IN SENIOR CATEGORY.

d)

Shooters qualified, as per NRAI Match Book 2013 Rule 17.6 (as per Annexure C attached) are
eligible to participate in this NSCC. Shooters furnishing incorrect information shall be debarred
from taking part in any championship for two years.

e)

IT IS MANDATORY FOR ALL THE SHOOTERS (SENIORS, JUNIORS AND YOUTH

CATEGORY) TO GET THEMSELVES REGISTERED WITH NRAI AND OBTAIN
SHOOTER ID CARD (IF NOT ALREADY DONE). SHOOTERS WITHOUT SHOOTER ID
CARD WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE. THE REGISTRATION FORM IS
AVAILABLE ON OUR WEBSITE www.thenrai.in THE REGISTRATION FEE IS RS. 150/AND REGISTRATION FORM SHOULD BE SENT THROUGH RESPECTIVE STATE
RIFLE ASSOCIATION/UNIT.

f)

Only one Team from each State/ Unit will be allowed in each event irrespective of the number of
participants in National Championship Category. Two teams per State/Unit are allowed to enter in
matches for Civilian category. Shooters participating on Wild Card entry cannot be member of
a team in Open or Civilian Category match.

g)

Final Entry (by name) under rule 18.7 of NRAI Match Book must be submitted in a proper entry
form latest by 17.00 hrs on the previous day of the start of that particular match.

h)

All affiliated Associations/ Clubs/ Units forwarding the Entry Forms of their members are requested
to see that their Affiliation Fee is paid up to date. Their Entry Forms will be entertained only after
their arrears, if any, are cleared.

i)

Associations/Clubs/Units forwarding the names of the Competitors having identical names must
distinguish them by indicating their mother/fathers name or making them as senior or junior.

4)

PROTESTS AND APPEALS

The Protests and appeals will be dealt as per ISSF & NRAI Match Book 2013. The Protest fee is Rs.
200/- and in case of appeal to Jury of Appeal, the protest fee is Rs. 500/-.

AMMUNITION
a)

The ammunition will be issued to the Team Manager only against cash payment on valid Arms
Licenses of Associations/ Clubs/ Individuals or proper special permit issued by the Licensing
Authorities. In case of inadequate authorization, special permits for the required quantity are
obtained from the Local Licensing Authorities.

b)

In extra ordinary circumstances, the Organizing Secretary may grant permission for use of a common
weapon. The names of shooters likely to use common weapon should be advised together with the
weapon number to the Organizing Secretary in advance to enable him to work out details for conduct
of relevant matches.

RAIL TRAVEL CONCESSION

Rail Travel concession vouchers can be obtained from NRAIs office.

7)

ACCOMMODATION :Details of hotels in Pune shall be sent shortly. Participants are requested to contact the hotels directly for
bookings.

8)

CHAMPION OF CHAMPION
Under NRAI Match Book Rule 20 Champion of Champion competition will be conducted during the NSCC.
Dates for these competitions will be notified at Balewadi Shooting Ranges, Pune during the NSCC.

9)

GENERAL :a)

All participants are requested to go through the above instructions carefully and ensure strict
compliance.

b)

All participants are expected to abide by the rules and regulations for the competition. Discipline
on and off the field is very essential.

c)

In case of non-participation by the competitors after submission of their entries will not be allowed
any refund of the Entry Fee.

d)

Shooting practice in hotels is strictly prohibited.

e)

During December, weather in Pune will be normal. No woolens are required during this season.

f)

The Organizers will have the right to close any match or event in case of any emergency or
otherwise without assigning any reason for such an action on their part.

g)

The shooters/officials may contact the Organizing Committee 58th NSCC for any further
information/details that may be required by them and might have not been covered by the above
