Perunding TAG is a Mechanical and Electrical Engineering

consultancy which provides M&E expertise to a diverse client base

across all sectors including educational, residential, retail, industrial
and local authority. Perunding TAG designs building services for
occupant comfort, low energy, performance, low through life cost,
and simplicity in operation and maintenance. For instant, Genting

Besides, Perunding TAG also cooperate with other project teams of

other disciplines such as contractors, suppliers, architects and
coordinate the efforts of all to ensure effective project delivery.

For example, architects would send the endorsed architecture

drawing of the building/ projects. The M&E consultant engineers
would then design the mechanical and electrical system such as
plumbing, electrical system, lighting system, fire fighting system
and etc. based on the drawing received.

The M&E systems designed are based on the rules and regulations
that have been set by the authority. The M&E consultant engineers
will then submit the drawings and calculation of the designs to the
authority for further approval.

Contractors would obtain drawings (A1 sized/A3 sized) from the

M&E engineers and carry out the installment of M&E system on the
site. However, the best suppliers such as Carrier (Air- conditioning)

would be recommended by the M&E consultants engineers

according to the specification of products suppliers provided.
Nevertheless, meetings between developers, architects and M&E
consultants would be held from time to time in order to update all
the aforementioned project teams about the latest improvement
and changes of the projects.

Arranged and created drawings of Fire Protection

System and Plumbing & Sanitary Systems using
AutoCAD / IntelliCAD.

Fire Protection System

the study and practice of mitigating the unwanted

effects of potentially destructive fire.

Heat detectors, smoke detectors, fire hydrants, hose

reel system and etc.

Fire protection has three major goals:

Continuity of operations - on a public scale,

this is intended to prevent the interruption of
critical services necessary for the public welfare
(e.g., a 911 emergency call center).

Property protection - on a public scale, this is

intended to prevent area wide conflagrations. At
an individual building level, this is typically
an insurance consideration (e.g., a requirement
for financing), or a regulatory requirement.

Life safety - the minimum standard used in fire

and building codes

Plumbing and Sanitary System

Plumbing is the system of pipes, drains fittings, valves, valve

assemblies, and devices installed in a building for the
distribution of water.

Sanitary engineering is the application of engineering

methods to provide the removal and disposal of human waste.

water for drinking, heating and washing, and the removal of

waterborne wastes, and the skilled trade of working
with pipes, tubing and plumbing fixtures in such systems.

The design of the system is based on the rules and

regulations set by the IEM.

Prepared Comparison of Bill of Quantities of Tenderers

Tender documents are prepared by M& E consultants. Tender

documents are delivered to all the potential tenderers. Tenderers
will then filled up all the Bill of Quantities and send it back to the
consultants. Therefore, comparison is made in order to compare the
prices and services offered by each tenderers. This ease the
comparison process and shorten the time of process. Tender
interview will then be conducted and the best tenderers of the
project among all will be awarded.

Prepared Progress Claims (documents)

The contractors would deliver their progress claims to the M&E

consultants engineers once they have done their job on the site.

Therefore, M&E engineers would then have to prepare the

Certificate of Progress claims which act as proof the approval on the
amount of payment should be done by the clients to the contractors.

After getting the certificate of progress claim from M&E consultants

engineers, the contractors would then claim the payment from the
clients according to the work done on the site.
