READING TIME

SNOW WHITE

Once upon a time, there lived a princess, who was as white as

snow. Her name was Snow White. She lived with her stepmother, who
had a magical mirror. One day the queen asked the mirror: Mirror,
Mirror, who's the fairest of all? The magical mirror that always told the
truth, replied: Snow White.
This annoyed the queen.
She called for one man from the court. She ordered him to take
Snow White into the forest and kill her. The man felt sorry for the
little girl and left her in the woods.
Poor Snow White! After much walking in the dark, suddenly
she saw a strange house. Snow White was tired, so she entered.
Inside the house, Snow White
found everything very dirty.
She cleaned the house and
arranged the seven little
beds.
Snow White was so
tired by now that she
was soon asleep. The
house belonged to the
seven dwarfs. When they
came home in the
evening, they were
surprised to find
everything so clean. They
looked in the bedroom and
saw Snow White asleep.
Back in the palace, the
wicked queen asked her mirror:
Mirror, Mirror, who is the fairest of
all? Snow White, the mirror replied.

Then, the bad queen, with the magical powers, disguised herself into a
witch. She took some delicious apples and went to the dwarfs' house.
The apples were full of poison. The queen offered the poisoned
apple to Snow White.
Snow White took the apple and took a bite. After that, she fell onto
the floor in a deep sleep.
The seven dwarfs returned home and found Snow White sleep on
the floor, as though she was dead. They placed Snow White in a glass
box filled with white roses and carried her to a beautiful place in the
forest.
A prince, who passed by, saw her. He bent and kissed the beautiful
Snow White and she woke from her deep sleep.
