Procedure
ACTIVITY I Warmer Songs (whole class)
Aim: to warm Ss up
to engage Ss. in using the English language;
Time: 5 min.
Procedure: The teacher and the students sing together the two songs they have learned
before: Wind the bobbin up and Father finger.
Interaction: Ss-Ss; Ss- T

ACTIVITY II - Reinforcing and checking the previous knowledge (whole class)


Aim: to practice the members of the family
Time: 7 min.
Procedure: T. shows SS. family cards and asks them questions about who the members
are and how they are.
e.g. T: Who is he?
SS: He is my grandfather.
T: How is he?
SS: He is happy.
T. can also ask the questions to check whether they know the members of the family.
e.g. T: Is he father?
SS: Yes, he is. No, he isnt.

ACTIVITY III Game Toss the ball ( pair work)
Aims: to practice the formulas studied
Time: 7 min.
Procedure: T. asks a question and tosses the ball to one student. The student has to
answer it. Then, the student asks a question and tosses the ball to another one and so on.
e.g. T: Whats your name?
S1: My name is Maria. How old are you?
S2: I am 7. Where do you live?
S3: I live in Baia Mare. etc.

ACTIVITY IV - Reinforcing and checking the previous knowledge (whole class)


Aims: to practice the rooms of the house
Time: 7 min.
Procedure: T. shows SS. the cards with the rooms of the house and asks the questions
about what the rooms are and what they do in those rooms.

e.g. T: What is this?


SS: This is the living-room.
T: What do you do in the living-room?
SS: I watch TV in the living-room.
T. can also ask the questions to check whether they know the names of the rooms of the
house.
e.g. T: Is this the bathroom?
SS: Yes, it is. No, it isnt.

PRESENTATION
ACTIVITY V My room (whole class)
Aims: to introduce the new language related to items in their rooms and where they are.
Time: 5 min.
Procedure: T. holds up cards representing items on a room. She asks questions to check
whether SS. know the words. SS. repeat the words. For each item T. makes a sentence
and the SS. repeat after her.
e.g. T: Whats this?
SS: A chair.
T: Good. There is a chair in my room.
T: Now, where is the chair?. Its under the desk.
SS: Where is the chair? Its under the desk.

PRACTICE
ACTIVITY VI Where is the mouse?
Aim: to practice the rooms in the house, the where is questions and the prepositions
of place.
Time: 15 min.
Procedure: Ss. look in the workbooks and circle the rooms where the mouse is. Then,
they have to colour the house and the rooms where the mouse is.

ACTIVITY VII Evaluation and homework assignment
Aim: to evaluate the Ss. work
to assign Ss. their homework
Time: 4 min
Procedure: T. congratulate SS. for their work, give them stamps and asks them to finish
the colouring at home.
