Factors Affecting the Morale of officers in Department of
Juvenile Observation and Protection in Bangkok and its Vicinity

Abstract
This research had the objective to study the level of morale and will power of officials of
Department of Juvenile Observation in order to study the factors that affected the morale and will power
in the work operation of officials and to study problems and obstacles in the work operation of officials.
The research was performed by using questionnaire as a tool in collecting the data from officials of
Department of Juvenile Observation and Protection in Bangkok and adjacent provinces especially the
central units in the number of 257 people. The statistics used in the data analysis were percentage,
means, standard deviation and multiple correlation analysis. From the study it was found that the morale

and will power in the work operation of officials in the overall picture was in a high level and the
motivation factor and supporting factor or health factor were related to the morale and will power in the
work operation of officials in the overall picture were positively related on average level.
