Franklin County School and Apalachicola Bay Charter School students in Grades 2 through 12
will be honoring our Veterans in this special tribute.
THE PUBLIC IS INVITED TO ATTEND!
**Letters to Parents Regarding Student Flu Shots: The School Health Program nurses sent home letters & permission slips to
parents regarding flu shots for students. Parents who would like for their child/children to receive a flu shot must return the
completed permission slips to the nurses by Mon, Nov. 10. The flu shots will be given to students on Wed, Nov. 12.
Flu shots are provided by FLA Dept. of Health Franklin County & will be given by the School Health nurses. If any questions,
contact Vanessa Edenfield @ 670-2825.
**Senior Portrait Meeting: Today, Nov 7, Seniors need to meet briefly with Jennifer Edwards in library immediately after breakfast.
**Date & Time Change for PTO Monthly Meeting: PTO meeting for November has been changed to Mon, Nov. 17, at 6:00pm.
**Algebra I Tutoring: Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:00-4:00pm, starting Nov 4 and ending Dec 4. Please see Kassi Malcolm or
Roy Carroll to sign up. Algebra I Re-takes are scheduled for Dec 9.
**ASVAB Sign-up: Now through Nov. 14, 10th-12th grade students may sign up for the ASVAB, which will be given on Nov. 18.
Sign-up sheet is in the library. Only 40 testing slots available! - Robinson
**ACTIVITY BUS: The Activity Bus will depart FCS at 6:00pm on Mondays through Thursdays. The Activity Bus is for students
being supervised by a school staff member for after school activities. Students who are on campus after school, & are not
being supervised by a staff member, should be sent to the front office so parents can be contacted.

ATTENTION STUDENTS: From this point forward, if your name comes up on the list of students who are getting two meals, your account
will be charged for the second meal. All students are given one meal free of charge, but some students are and have been taking
advantage of the free meals. Also, from this point forward, all students will be required to use their lunch numbers to buy from the Ala Carte
line. If you have a negative balance on your account, you will not be allowed to purchase from the Ala Carte line until your negative
balance is paid.

Franklin County Adult School GED Testing Center is now open!
If you are interested in earning your GED, go to www.GED.com & register to take the test, choosing the Franklin County site for testing.
You will not be able to take the test on the same day that you register, so register early!
The testing site is at the Franklin County District Office (old Brown Elementary School). The hours of operation are:
Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays from 9:00am-1:00pm and 5:00pm-10:00pm - presently closed these days
Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9:00am-10:00pm.
