BOYOLALI

Boyolali is the city that located in eastern central java, or the east of Mount Merapi
(in the foot of the Mountain), and near with Surakarta City. Boyolali regency surrounded by
other regencies such as Klaten and Yogyakarta province. In the southest Boyolali theres
Sukoharjo, Karanganya, and Sragen Regencies, in the West theres Magelang regencies, and
then in the north there is Salatiga ang Grobogan regencies. The distance between Boyolali
and Surakarta is 30 km or about 1 hour. This Regency has been known as City of Milk,
because theres many cattle breeding in every corner of this city. Boyolali City is a part of
Boyolali Regency. This regency have an airpot, called Adi Sumarmo International Airport.
The Boyolalis motto is Boyolali Tersenyum
(Order, Elegant,Neat, Healthy, and
Comfortable for the Community). In this Regency we can also look the wonderful Landscape
of Solo in the night. The lamp is sparkling, they like stars in the sky.
Boyolali have many interrested place. Such as Umbul Tlatar and Umbul
Pengging. theres many swimming pool and fishpond. Theres many springs in Boyolali so
this regency has good irrigation system. Umbul Tlatar and umbul Pengging also become a
tourism place. The visitor can swimming or fishing there or just to culinary vacation. Umbul
Tlatar has International woodball Course,called etasia. We can learn woodball, or usually
every mount theres competition of woodball there. Beside Umbul Tlatar and umbul
Pengging, Boyolali have 2 reservoir to maintenance the irrigation of Boyolali, they called
Gedung Ombo and Cengklik Reservoir. In the western Boyolali, we will find 2 big mountain,
known as Mount Merapi and Merbabu. We can reach with Selo districk, from Selo we can
see how wonderful landscapes nature. In Selo District is popular with tobacco. In the east of
Selo, we will find small districk, called Cepogo. Cepogo well-known as the districk that have
copper craft, such as pans, lamp decoration, and the other craft. The copper craft from
Cepogo has entered the International market. in the South of Boyolali theres an
international airport, known as Adi Summarmo International Airport.
Boyolali also have historical place there. Boyolali have two temple, called Sari
Temple dan lawang temple. But the government of Boyolali regency does not manage that
place into tourist spot. And the last is living monument of Tentara Pelajar at SMA N 2
Boyolali. SMA N 2 Boyolali located in Tlatar, in the past, theres big war happened that
involve local people. The war was known as perang Pruputan because that wars
happened in the morning before sunrise.
And theres few description about my hometown. And therefore all People of
Boyolali love this regency very much.
