There were two SARAH WOODRUFFS in Warren County. This settles the
question of which one was "mine". She married DAVID STOGDEN or
STOGDON, as it is sometimbs written. What had become of them was
not known because we could never find a census record or any other
record. Now we know it was because she died before 1620.
There were two DAVID STOGDONS in the area, both married. It is like
UEL and the second girl SARAH. (The first girl was MARY for her
mother, MARY MOHFORD) They could have been named for grandparents.
There were both a NATHANIEL and a SAMUEL WOODRUFF in the area, both
of proper age, and neither with a recorded son named NATHAN. Or did
NATHAN come to Salem Co. from elsewhere??
