On-the-Job-Training or OJT is job training that occurs in the workplace. It is part of a

college curriculum that aims to train and orient students about the work and their future
career. It is very important not only to teach students their chosen career but to show
students the reality about working.
Students should not take OJT for granted because if you will get a high evaluation
grade, your employer might hire you when you graduate. You background OJT is very
important when applying for a job. Oftentimes, employers will ask you the relevance of
your training to your course and to the position you are applying for. It will be your
training ground. If you still have no idea on what is meant to be a worker, OJT will give a
hint of career realities. Your OJT superior might as well recommend your skills to other
companies whom he knows.
It will give you a sense of confidence that you can use when applying for a job after
graduation and also help you to make career choices.
Students should realize the importance of OJT on their future career. Having a good
performance during OJT is very important especially now that theres a tight competition
towards job seekers and the high qualification of companies.

I am Julia Cruz Lopez, a second year student taking Bachelor of Computer Science in
Eastern System Colleges of Rizal. As I make my way to last semester of my year in
preparation in working in a real world after school. I am interning at a Morong National
High School. It is a public school in Morong, Rizal. I started my on-the-job training at
Morong National High School (MNHS) on July 23, 2014 and assigned to work with
Demot . On my first day I was very nervous on what will happened in working there but
the people I have worked with made it very enjoying. I have experience a lot of works
like encodes, assist the student ect.. I can say that Mr. Joselito Demot thought me a lot.
Under his supervision Ive learned bunch of thing and developed character at
workplace.
At the end of the on-job training period, experience many things and learned from it.
Throughout the training, we experience dealing with different kind of people around us,
with the students, principal and most especially with our co-OJT. It is important to a
group co-OJT to have cooperation so that they can work well and attain their goal.
Through this OJT, I saw the difference when you are in school and in the real world.
Most of time you just learn theoretically in school while in real world, you actually
experience and apply what the trainers taught to you.

OJT OBJECTIVES
To provide workplace experience / exposure for graduating students in the business
management program.
To enhance the department network and linkages with industrial companies and
business career placement for its graduates.
To provide opportunities for future professionals relative to the labor market.
To enable to students to apply and appreciate the relevance of classroom learning.
To gain inputs so as to continuously improve the ojt / practicum program of the
department.
