Letter from Our President

Greetings BOSC Members,

Last month's Fall Basket

Auction was so much fun.
We raised a total of
$2,149.00 for BOSC's charitable endeavors. A huge
thank you to all of you for
your donations, your time
and your support. Without
each and everyone of you
helping this would not have
been possible. Also, another
thank you to the Command
Spouses of the 2nd Bomb
Wing for hosting. The centerpieces/door prizes were a
huge hit. We have had some
great social's so far this year,
I am looking forward to
what's to come.

Have you had the chance to

check our small clubs yet?
Are you interested in volunteering? Be sure to watch
the newsletter, Facebook
page and webpage for information on what BOSC has
to offer.

Hopefully everyone is enjoying the wonderful Fall

weather! I certainly have
been. There are so many fun
holidays to look forward to
in the next couple of months.

Charity of the Month

I would like to thank our membership for such a great response to the needs of the
Shreveport/Bossier Mission. If you would still like to be involved with helping the
mission you can look them up on facebook or stop by and volunteer your time.
Our charity for the months of November and December is the Airman's Attic. The
Airman's Attic primarily helps all active duty families (E-4 and below) with access
to a variety of much needed items. However a few facts that you may not know
are:
- All active duty ranks can shop for military uniforms anytime of the month
- ALL RANKS week is the last week of each month with a Tuesday and a Thursday in it, although some items in the store may be limited to E4 and below.
We are going to be collecting coats and also baby items to donate, so time to clean
out our closets. When going through items to donate just make sure they are still
in good condition (i.e. not torn, soiled or broken).
If you would rather donate your time, the Attic is always in need of volunteers.
Mondays from 9am-noon and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am closing.
Thank you for your continuing generosity!
Rebecca Denton

Charity Disclaimer
*The BOSC supports a variety of charities that fall within the guidelines of our
mission statement. We do no discriminate based on religion, race, or creed. All

this event!
November 8-10
Mr. William Lee is looking for assistance from the Private Orgs to help provide breakfast for the Wounded Warrior Hunt from 8-10 Nov.
This breakfast would be provided to the Warriors and their support team during their
stay.
Please see details below:
- Sat. 8 Nov - Sun 9 Nov- Breakfast for about 20. Anything like breakfast burritos,
sausage biscuits, fruit, pastries... something quick and easy. These types of foods will
allow our hunters to carry them to the woods with them to eat later if they
like. NOTE: Breakfast will be early, about an hour before daylight.
- Mon. 10 Nov - Warriors depart, any type of breakfast would be fine. They just want
to send them off with a full belly. There is a stove in the area that they will feed the
warriors, if anyone needs to use it.
If you are able to assist Mr. Lee with this event, please contact him directly at 4565273 or william.lee.27@us.af.mil. Thank you.
