You are on page 1of 1

There is a main image of the band on

the double page spread which is half

the article. This therefore again shows
the importance of the magazine. It is
again a medium shot of the band, the
connotation of the posture and the
props used reflect the things that
bands get up to within that subgenre. This will attract the target
audience. As well as this the photo
will make them want to read on so
that they know why the props are
used.
The article shows a quotation of
the bands response to a
particular question and this will
make the target audience
interested within the reasoning
behind response and why they
said it. The use of colours are the
same that are used on the
contents page and therefore
again shows professional
continuation of the magazine.
This could make the target
audience feel the information is
more likely to be correct and
therefore the magazine will be
more reliable for them and
therefore better.

There are various photos included on

the page and this shows the
stereotypical behaviour in which the
band from this sub-genre would act.
Again this is a way that the audience
can feel they can relate to the band
and get a close feeling of how they
really act. This insight will mean the
target audience will enjoy the
magazine and therefore want to buy it
again. This is again an insight, which is
what the audience want to see and
have in a magazine. They are well used
also as they spread around the page
and its use of space is good order to
again give it a professional look.

The image gives an overall impression of the band to the audience

from the particular images used and the quotations. These both
together will intrigue the reader to read the actual article in o0rder
to get answers. The connotation of the images shows a good friend
ship and certain behaviour that they would expect from the
stereotypical sub-genre of the band. The denotation shows them
smiling and laughing which would therefore lead into a connotation
of their closeness and happiness of being in a band. The overall
impression of the fonts used would again give the target audience a
friendly feel and that they are welcomed by the magazine and the
band. Doing this allows them to relax and therefore enjoy the
magazine more than they would if there wasnt a particularly
friendly font.

The language used is light hearted

and informal. The fact that it is
informal will allow the target
audience to feel they can relate to
the band and get a close feeling of
how they really act. This insight will
mean the target audience will
enjoy the magazine and therefore
want to buy it again. The
continuation of colours and
kerrang masthead means that the
branding of the magazine increases
as it will become more familiar to
the audience.
