Instructions for use

1. Introduction
The combination of SYSTEM 24 Automatic Lubricator and the
LAPB 5-16 Lift Rail Lubrication Brush offers maintenance free and low
noise operation of lifts. The benefits of the unique brush design together
with oil filled SYSTEM 24 Lubricator are many:
Low noise operation of the lift.
Clean rail thanks to the self-cleaning brush.
Easy installation thanks to the self-adjusting brush.
Optimum oil distribution on the rail due to unique internal design of
the brush and the linear dispense rate of SYSTEM 24 Lubricator.
Automatic compensation of misalignment.
Easy adjustment of the dispense rate of the oil thanks to the
adjustable SYSTEM 24.
Clean and easy replacement of the lubricator without spilling oil.
Universal design for any rail dimension between 5 mm and 16 mm
width.

3. Installation
3.1 Installation of the LAPB 5-16 brush with SYSTEM 24
1. Cut open the tip of the capillary plug on the Oil Filled SYSTEM 24 by
use of a sharp knife or a pair of scissors.
2. Hand-tighten the SYSTEM 24 into the port of the LAPB 5-16 brush
(NB! Tighten until the thread is not visible any more).
3. Activate the SYSTEM 24 by selecting the suitable emptying time.
Under normal conditions the following dispense rates are
recommended:
- For clean and dry environments: 12 months.
- For dirty and humid environments: 3 months.
4. Mount the LAPB 5-16 brush with the SYSTEM 24 lubricator on the
support bracket of the lift. Use an M8 bolt to connect the brush to the
bracket and position the nut and washer on the side of the bracket.
5. Pre-lubricate new brushes by oiling the hairs of the brush.
6. Make sure the brush is centred around the lift rail.

3.2 Instructions for replacement of the SYSTEM 24


1. Check the brush for wear and replace if excessive wear is detected.
2. Unscrew the empty SYSTEM 24.
3. Cut open the tip of the capillary plug on the new, oil filled
SYSTEM 24 by use of a sharp knife or a pair of scissors.
4. Hand-tighten the SYSTEM 24 into the port of the brush (NB! Tighten
until the thread is not visible any more).
5. Activate the SYSTEM 24 by selecting the suitable emptying time.
Under normal conditions the following dispense rates are
recommended:
- For clean and dry environments: 12 months.
- For dirty and humid environments: 3 months.
