JOB DESCRIPTION
Manufacturing engineers are technical professionals who develop or improve processes to
increase efficiency and boosts profits of an organization in the manufacturing environment. They
are responsible for providing overall process design and suggest measures for improvement of
the manufacturing, thereby increasing productivity and reducing manufacturing costs.
To troubleshoot and resolve daily operational issues and yield loss contributors in a safe,
timely and effective manner.
To optimize manufacturing process to improve yield, to reduce cost and cycle-time.
Able to use statistical tools, LEAN manufacturing techniques and develop new processes
to improve product quality, manufacturability, productivity, product cost, and reduce scrap.
Applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials to
optimize robust manufacturing processes.
Develops process specification and quality documentation for new/existing products.
Engaged employees in product/process measurement, inspection and testing activities to
ensure quality control and reliability.
Work with quality assurance to address customer complaints by developing effective and
robust solutions.
Requirements : Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metal Fabrication Technology, Industrial Engineering or

Principal product lines cover the four basic assembly processes that is, die attach, wire bond,
automold and trim & form. These represent 75% of the investment in an assembly facility.
Assembly and packaging equipment are more dependent upon semiconductor unit volume than
on chip prices. Manufacturing both stamped and etched leadframes, ASMPT has approximately a
5% world market share and is one of the worlds few integrated suppliers. Leadframes represent
on average 15% of ASMPTs annual sales.
Financial
Group revenue of US$1.40 billion, representing a slight increase of 3.6% over the
preceding year
Net profit of HK$558.6 million and earnings per share of HK$1.40, a contraction of 18.9%
against the preceding year
Excluding the one-time charge associated with the partial relocation of our factory in
Shenzhen, China, and related severance payments and tax effect, recurring Group net
