FOR PHOTO CONTEST AND EXHIBITION

2014/2015



SECTION 1: CONTEST THEME AND PURPOSE

Wish to experience the feeling of inter-cultural sharing and collective
achievement? This contest could be for you! The contest is open to any person or
group of persons interested in discovering cultures. Registration is open from 1
November 2014 and the deadline for entries is September 5th 2015. The
theme of the contest is:

"TRAVELS TO FRANCE AND ROMANIA, CROSS-CULTURAL IMPRESSIONS"

You have travelled and stayed in Romania or France with a camera as an
amateur. You select 3 (maximum) photos for submission. You are welcome to
share (or not) short texts (5 lines maximum) or captions.

Your photos reveal particularities that have captured your imagination and
appreciation in the country to which you have travelled (France or Romania) or
contrasts with other cultures you know.

The contest is open to people visiting one or the other of these countries for a
limited or indefinite period of time. The spirit of the competition is to open our
eyes to different perceptions from one traveller and from one culture to another.

Members of the Rhne Roumanie Association serve on the Photo Contest jury
and will select photos to be exhibited in a photo slide show during an exhibition
to be organized by the Rhne Roumanie Association in Lyon, France in October
2015.

Rhne Roumanie will exhibit the photographs in a collective spirit and in
appreciation of the cultural diversity proposed and represented by the travellers.
The selected photos will be used for the promotion of cross-cultural relations and
not for monetary profits.

SECTION 1.1: DOCUMENTS

Each submission must contain:
- From 1 to 3 maximum JPG, JPEG or TIFF format digital images, each weighing
between 1MB and 5MB.
- Document 1 REGISTRATION FORM.
- Document 2 (AUTHORIZATIONS) if necessary.

SECTION 1.2: PRESENTATION

- Contest participants shall indicate a caption for each photo on the
registration form and shall identify the place where the photo was taken
and its date. They may add a text (5 lines maximum) to explain their
choice.
- Photographs with a signature or a watermark shall not be accepted.


SECTION 1.3: EXHIBITION

The selected photographs will be exhibited in the month of October 2015 in Lyon
at the Maison des Associations Chteau Sans Souci, 36 avenue Lacassagne,
69003 Lyon, France. Information about the exhibition will be published on Rhne
Roumanie website in September and shared by means of posters and the press.

The selected photographs will also be published on the Rhne Roumanie
Association website.

SECTION 1.4: AWARDS

Two photographers will be awarded a prize of 200 euros. The photos shall be
selected according to the principle explained above in Section 1.

The jury will appreciate a relevant choice according to the theme discovering a
new culture, the artistic quality in terms of frame and light, as well as the
atmosphere rendered in the photography.
The jury will be open and welcome a diversity of views.

SECTION 2: USE OF PHOTOGRAPHS

SECTION 2.1: AUTHORIZATIONS

Photos sent by contest participants must be accompanied by a written consent of
the persons shown in the photographs. Participants should ensure for themselves
and guarantee the Rhne Roumanie Association that the works they have
selected do not affect the integrity and rights of people, names, trademarks and
trade names represented.
If the participants agree, Rhne Roumanie will communicate their contacts to
people interested in their work.

SECTION 2.2: USE

The contest entrant grants permission to the Rhne Roumanie Association, its
contest partners and the press to use, represent and reproduce the images for
any use directly related to the contest. Entrants agree that photos they have
sent may be displayed on websites promoting the contest upon delivery of their
photographs.

SECTION 2.3: RESPONSIBILITIES

Participants agree to provide only photographs owned by right. The Rhne
Roumanie Association cannot be held responsible for the use made by a partner
or a medium, of a photography sent for the contest. Rhne Roumanie disclaims
any liability for loss, theft or destruction of photographs. The photographs will
not be returned after the contest.

The Rhne Roumanie Association may cancel the contest or the exhibition due to
extenuating circumstances. Participation in the contest requires full acceptance
of these rules by the participants.

partners, and the media to promote the contest.

website and authorize their inclusion in an exhibition to be organized by the Association
in Lyon, France in October 2015.

I yield rights to the Rhne Roumanie Association to copy and use the submitted

the exclusion of any commercial use.
