After Thy descent into Hades, O Christ,
and Thy Resurrection from the dead,
the Disciples sorrowed, as was fitting,
grieving over Thy removal. They
returned to their occupations and
attended to their nets and their ships;
but there was no fishing whatsoever.
But Thou didst appear unto them,
and, since Thou art Lord of all, Thou
didst Command them to cast the nets
on the right side. And at once the
Word became Deed and they caught
much fish and found a strange meal
prepared for them upon the ground.
And Thy Disciples at once partook
thereof. And now, make us worthy
with them to enjoy it mentally, O
Lord, Lover of mankind.

Praise Him with timbrel and dance;
praise Him with strings and pipe
Thou accepted death in the Flesh, so
ensuring us Immortality; and Thou
dwelt in a Tomb, so that Thou might
free us from Hades, raising us with
Thyself, having suffered as a Man,
but rising as God. Therefore, we cry
unto Thee: Glory to Thee, Life-giving
Lord, Only Lover of Mankind!
Praise Him with tuneful cymbals;
praise Him with loud cymbals. Let
everything that has breath praise
the Lord.
The rocks were rent, O Saviour, when
Thy Cross was fixed on Calvary; the
gate-keepers of Hades trembled
when Thou were placed as a mortal
in the Sepulchre; for Thou destroyed
the strength of Death and gave
Incorruption to the dead by Thy
Resurrection, O Saviour: Giver of
Life: Glory to Thee!
Arise, O Lord, my God, lift up Thy
Hand: do not forget Thy poor
forever.
Women longed to see Thy Resurrection,
O Christ God; Mary Magdalene came
in anticipation; she found the stone
rolled away from the grave and the
Angel sitting and saying: Why do you
seek the Living with the dead? He as
Risen as God so that He may Save
the Universe!
I will give Thee thanks, O Lord, with
my whole heart: I will tell of all
Thy Wonders.
Where is Jesus Whom you thought to
guard? say, O Jews. Where is He
Whom you placed in the Tomb, then
sealed the stone? Give back the
dead, you who denied Life! Give
back the buried or believe in the
Risen One! Although you keep silent
about the Lords Rising, the stones
will cry out, above all the one that
was rolled away from the Tom: Great
is Thy Mercy! Great the Mystery of
Thy Dispensation! Our Saviour:
Glory to Thee!

After these things Jesus showed
Himself again to the Disciples at the
Sea of Tiberias, and in this way He
showed Himself:
Simon Peter, Thomas called the Twin,
Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the
sons of Zebedee, and two others of
His Disciples were together.

Simon Peter said to them: I am going
fishing.
They said to him: We are going with
thee also.
They went out and immediately got
into the boat, but that night they
caught nothing.
When the morning had come, Jesus
stood on the shore; yet the Disciples
did not know that it was Jesus.

Then Jesus said them:, Children, have
you any food?
They answered Him: No.
So He said to them:, Cast the net on
the right side of the boats, and you
will find some.
They cast the net and then they were
unable to draw it in because of the
multitude of fish.
Therefore that Disciple whom Jesus
loved said to Peter: It is the Lord!
Now when Simon Peter heard that it
was the Lord, he put on his outer
garment (for he had removed it), and
plunged into the sea.
But the other Disciples came in the
little boat (for they were not far from
land, but about two hundred cubits),
dragging the net with fish.
Then, as soon as they had come to
land, they saw a fire of coals there,
and fish laid on it, and bread.
Jesus said to them: Bring some of the
fish which you have just caught.
Simon Peter went up and dragged the
net to land, full of large fish, one
hundred and fifty-three; and
although there were so many, the
net had not broken.
Jesus said to them: Come and eat
breakfast.
Yet none of the Disciples dared ask
Him: Who art Thou? - knowing that
it was the Lord.
Jesus then came and took the bread and
gave it to them, and likewise the
fish.
This is now the third time Jesus
showed Himself to His Disciples
after He was raised from the dead.
